The clipper were fun to watch this season as they got off to a good start but then fell quickly only to fight back and get in the playoffs over the warriors. Still, I don’t think they have nearly enough to slow down Magic Johnson or keep up with him. I can see this series being a 4 game sweep but maybe the clippers get one at home and then lose the series in game 5. But boy, it would be great to see them advance in the playoffs after the season they had

Much as I hate to pick against Magic Johnson, I am going to pick the Clippers. Mike Mitchell has been criminally underrated this season and the Clippers are deep, while the Lakers are running super thin with just 8 players. Any injury... or even foul trouble... and they're going to be putting black holes on the court... and at some point over a seven game series, you have to think that's going to happen.

We've been hearing all season that an injury can dismantle the Lakers. It is true though. But I sensibly can't make a pick basing it off of an injury. The Clippers defense is what will fail them. They won't have the ability to stop the Lakers scoring enough to make this close. Lakers in 4.

The clippers had a tough season riddled with injuries. They’re way better than their record indicates, or their seeding. Against anyone not named Magic Johnson I give the clippers an edge, but Magic is an animal that will not be tamed until they meet the blazers.

Of course an injury could ruin the lakers at any point, though. If Magic is out? Less than half a team is left, and that’s a team that isn’t beating anyone. I still think the lakers get it done in 5 or 6

I'm excited to see the Clippers with this opportunity to test themselves.
They are one of very few teams who can role out star like Theus and Mitchell to face off against Magic on the top end of the card.
What I do think will come to play in this series is play at the center position where I see James Donaldson being the difference maker.
Corzine is a solid starter but not a match for Donaldson.
It would be helpful if the Clippers had a single lock down defender to match Magic at SF, but they're offensively focused.
Lakers in 5.
All the big names will deliver, but the LA will get stronger contributions from more positions.
