Which roster would you be most excited to take over at this point?
What about this current roster excites you?
What would your plan be moving forward?

Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers, which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.

Note: Use approximately 5 sentences as your bare minimum for 1 point. If you write 3 long, complex sentences, you'll still get a point. If you write 5, 3 word sentences, you will not get a point. Don't @ me.

Going to assume here the answer can't be "your own" since that would be boring.

Honestly, if I had to swap teams, I'd probably go with the Spurs. I like their young core of Aguirre, Johnson, and Thomas and they have almost zero salary committed the next two seasons when all the superstars from the creation draft hit free agency, so they should have as many bites at the proverbial UFA apple as anyone. They've got all their own draft picks plus a couple of firsts from the Knicks and the Cavs, so even if they hit on a few star UFA signings and cap out, they can still add cheap bench depth. My first priority would be stealing one star in this year's UFA - there are some great #2 and #3 guys available - but the bigger priority would be getting two more alpha dog stars in next year's UFA (when the truly elite players hit UFA). I'd be trying to win next season rather than tank to make sure that stars that care about "Play for a Winner" don't look at me sideways. And yes, I'd prioritize poaching talent from other teams in the West since that both helps me and hurts my direct competition.

I would probably take over the Pistons. I has incredibly high on terry cummings and had I not be at 1 to take Wilkins, I would have taken Cummings in every other spot.

Nobody over the age of 26 which means this team has plenty of room to grow and I like having to go through the development phase to get my team to where I want it to be. Really just holding out for one more season, maybe two until you can finally start to see this team come together.

If I was GM, I’d be doing all I can to get a PG between now and this season. One more good TC should solidify Cummings and Kellogg as elite starters so that will take care of the paint for this team. Snag a good PG in FA and then get some young shooters and this team is on its way to being a contender

Really hard to choose between the Warriors and Kings. Moses and Parrish are a combo that would be so fun to roll out every week, but I think the Mike Gminski and Calvin combo has a chance to be great together for a longer period of time. Will be really fun to watch if he can resign and sustain the success.

What about this current roster excites you?
Definitely the Mike and Calvin combo. I think those 2 and Bill have a chance to take on the Warriors and Blazers in a 7 game series.

What would your plan be moving forward?
Resigning Mike and Calvin and find a pass first PG to facilitate, but I also think the generous thing to do would be let Mike walk and sign with the Knicks.

Some of my favorite moves this season have come out of Washington, so I would helm the bullets. Buck Williams is the kind of player that makes me salivate, and knowing he still had room to grow is so exciting.

It’s too bad they lost Tyler in the offseason but I think they’re better off not having his max contract on their payroll.

Alvan Adams is a super fun player to me and always has been, but adding arguably the league’s best pure PG in John Lucas to the team? Man, these Bullets are fun. I wish they had a pure 30ppg scorer like English or Natt or Kiki to round everything out, but you can’t have it all. With only Rod Higgins left to move for a win now upgrade, I’d probably sit tight unless a guy like one of those three popped up. This team had the East all but locked up as it is. Great job to Mike Lowry for building a baller squad!

I don't get excited for other teams roster. But, I'll go with the Mavericks. I'm a huge fan of PG Johnny Moore. Moore is going to be a special player. The crazy part, I think he has the potential to be even better. Moore will be elite. Next season, the Mavericks will have a huge salary cap to acquire more talent. With their huge budget, the Mavericks will easily sign few superstars during UFA.

For the Cavs, I'm excited for Paxson and Moncrief. Both are young and already All-Stars. They will win a lot of games for the Cavs. Moving forward, I need to add players who can shoot 3s. That will be my priority. In addition, keeping Paxson, Moncrief and Mahorn together with the Cavs. I think, If I can keep the big three together, the Cavs will be a good team for a long time.
