The end is nigh. Years of pain, torment, blood, sweat, and tears has led to this. This is the now, but let us start at the beginning.

Years ago a prophecy was foretold. It was a story of a king that ruled over his land with an iron fist. A king that would go mad with power and dispose of any threat to his claim. The land had become a barren wasteland filled with the corpses of those who would seek to oppose this king. People from far away lands had heard these morbid tales. Tales of lakes so polluted with the blood of rebels that they were no longer inhabitable. Tales of forests burned to scatter the remaining stags, wolves, and bears. Tales of swarms of insects smoked out from their homes. Even the mythical creatures could not be saved by their luck when the rainbows they called home were swallowed by the smoke. The wizards used their magic, the pirates sailed in on their great wooden ships, the bands of warriors rode in on their great steeds. None lived to tell the tales. Such was the reign of the Red King.

But unbeknownst to the maniacal king a great army was arising in the north beyond the wall. The prophecy had become truth. A leader has emerged. One who’s name sent tremors down the spine of even the Red King himself. Whispers of salvation began emerging from the mouths of the few townsfolk who remained.

"We Free Folk have our stories too. About how one of your King Crows found something cold in the woods, with bright blue eyes. How he brought her home through your Wall and declared himself Night’s King.”

"In that darkness the White Walkers came for the first time. They swept through cities and kingdoms, riding their dead horses, hunting with their packs of pale spiders big as hounds.”

"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."
One thing was for certain. A war was on the horizon. A war that would set the fate for all the land. The beasts beyond the wall were coming for the Red King. This is the salvation the people needed. But is this the salvation the people deserve?
