I think conceptually no limit would be great, but it would make the game more difficult for those that are inexperienced and are not sure how valuable points are yet. It'd also make getting out of tax jail easier since tax prisoners like Doug would probably be able to sell players for extreme amounts of points (thinking like, 50) instead of 15 points + some other kind of package. I don't think any of that would be necessarily bad, but it would be a much more uncharted change than simply increasing 10->15 was.Black Superman wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 1:16 pm 4. I think the 15 point trade increase has been a really successful implementation. Garbageman originally said to make no limit but he's sometimes sarcastic and cynical. So I didn't go the extreme route but given the increase of point earning opportunities, I did think 15 felt safe. I think so far, it's been a very well done change. Thanks Josh, kinda
@pennpanther1 I know the timing of the draft class reveal was specifically put in place to avoid tanking. But in the spirit of election time, do you have a week in which you'd prefer to see the draft class updated/imported from the college sim?pennpanther1 wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 12:02 pm What changes would you like to see as far as rule changes?
I like greepleairport's suggestion about injuries so maybe be have an option to train a player's injury rating during the preseason could help prevent those kind of catastrophic injuries. I'd also like if the upcoming draft class got announced a bit earlier in the season. I think if GMs see tanking for someone worthwhile as an incentive they will be more active during the trade deadline.
If you don't have any suggestions about rule changes, take a position on any of the controversial rule changes or implementations of the past few seasons.
I really like expanding the playoffs to 8 teams. The draft lottery at 10 teams is a good, nice number.
When did things make, or not make, sense?
The media controversy got out of hand. I get everybody wants points for their team goals but it got ridiculous when people were just trolling the forum with nonsense and then got butthurt when people called them out. I guess a little drama never killed nobody though.
We can't eliminate this from the software, easiest thing is for people to get those cuts in as soon as possible or whenever. But yeah @JediheroJedihero wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 2:32 pm
Another rule I would like to see if getting rid of 2nd round picks in general. I know they are simmed anyway, but as far as I've been here there's usually not anyone good that will fall to the 2nd and almost everyone immediately cuts them anyway.
Buzzkill how? Hopefully the break will be the perfect reset for everyone to feel energized again. @K-100K-100 wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 2:38 pm

The last few seasons seem more dramatic than usual which has been a buzzkill. Hopefully the good vibes come back soon.
I have written about it before but I too always felt like the training should be done prior to TC. I think the thought process from others was that folks wouldn't want the risk since TC is so volatile and unpredictable. But I loved the idea of increasing a future rating and letting a player grow into it prior to TC. As for the training of already purple players.... Idk idk. @BigDaddyd8720BigDaddyd8720 wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 3:35 pm Purple training: I get the reasoning behind it, But I also would like to see this opened up again. At the very least, allow someone to train up to Blue/purple. It does suck to have such a young player reach purple potential through TC and then not be able to do anything. so if they are G/P or even Y/P, we have to sit around and wait for however many seasons for their currents to catch up. Maybe with the stop to training purples, if we put paid TC before regular TC? That way people can train currents on players that may make the jump soon to give them a bigger boost.
