Who is the All-Star game MVP?
What will they do in the game to earn the award?
Who's getting snubbed? Why?
Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers, which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.
Note: Use approximately 5 sentences as your bare minimum for 1 point. If you write 3 long, complex sentences, you'll still get a point. If you write 5, 3 word sentences, you will not get a point. Don't @ me.
All star game MVP is gonna be Maxwell Lewis again. He's running it back because he's the best in the league. He's gonna drop 24-5-5-3 in 28 minutes. He's going to shoot 6-10 from 3. God I love our sim league king!
Now, the snub is going to be Scoot Henderson and what a snub it's going to be. Definitely not fair for a guy leading the suns in scoring. Not just that, he's averaging 23ppg,with the and 6 assists a game. Those are crazy numbers and he likely won't make the game. The reason? His position. Scoot is battling with the likes of pee wee, blaze, and falcon in the conference. All guards doing better statistically. It's unfortunate but scoot knows his value on the suns. And the big picture is hoisting that championship at the end of the season. Last team standing baby
I'm going with the obvious answer...Lauri Markkanen he's been the best plyer in the league for a few years now and he does everything. The game almost always gives the winning team the MVP and I think Alpha is going to put together a better all star team. Lauri Markkanen is going to get a decent amount of playing time and and shut down the interior. He's also going to put of 30+ points. The all-star game is going to look like the Alpha Conference in the playoffs again.
Dan Spooner - I think the gameplan will be simple for Alpha. Feed the ball inside and let the big men do the dirty work. Spooner is having another excellent season and will be more than happy to benefit from countless pick and rolls from Cambell and McClung.
Tracey Jackson-Davis will get snubbed from the Alpha C. He is having a great season but there is just too much talent at the C position right now with Spooner and Charley Quick there as well. TJD will get there eventually, but he will just have to watch for now.
I think the overall trend of my conference losing the all star game continues, which pulls the MVP from the opposite conference. Now that Dom has escaped the winged clutches of the Mavericks, I think his play will emerge from the pack and nab him the ASG nod. He will score lots of points- that's how he will win MVP, duh.
I haven't had any coffee yet and just realized the Bulls and Mavs are in the same division. I'm rewriting nothing.
I think the snub will be Sion James. I think the new shine of Dom in a Bulls uniform will be impossible for the simputer to ignore, and Sion James will lead a charge for Dom that takes over and wins it for my Omega conference.
See, if you just contradict yourself outright, you can't be wrong! #MAGA2024
Herm Cambell is the All Star MVP.
This guy is night in and night out dropping dimes to I don't know who the Fu6k.
He is going to show out when he has some real talent around him.
I expect 25 points and 15 assists which will separate him from others that can score.
Sadly enough the biggest snub will be KC Ndefo.
That guy is a real stat stuffer with excellent defense.
He is just best at doing things that the All Star game is not interested in.
I guarantee he will contribute to a ship before he retires.
Winning doesn't often translate to flash though.
What will they do in the game to earn the award?
McClung is a triple double threat with scoring ability, so he has a likely shot at filling out 2 out of the 3 major stat categories. Generally, it could be anyone because the sim coaching on these tends to play the 2nd unit more than the starters in the ASG for some reason. Herman Campbell might get the start over McClung based on pure scoring (though I haven't actually compared the stats), so that puts McClung in perfect position for more minutes.
Who's getting snubbed? Why?
I don't know...since we didn't have to predict all star teams in any of the mini-games, I haven't compared stats. I know who most of the for sure guys are, but I'm not sure. I'm going to take a complete stab in the dark and say Mark Shinn. I haven't looked at him since UFA, but I imagine he's putting up good big man stats on a team that's full of scorers, so he could be one of those fringe guys with injuries to a lot of existing Omega Centers.
I'll give the MVP to Matthew Falcon from the Houston Rockets. Falcon is a one-man show in Houston this season and I think show off again during the game because his teammates will give him the ball and let him rip. He is a stat-stuffer superstar and this is the perfect time to showcase that talent.
I think the snub will be Hoyt Timmerman. This is just a case of a super talented player getting overshadowed by other great talent on the same team. There are a lot of talented forwards in the conference with gaudier stats so while their impact on the game is not as great as Timmerman's their stats just look flashier so they will get the nod over Hoyt Timmerman.
Gonna go with the my own Omega conference being the winner, so I'm just gonna pull the best guy from the Bulls and say it'll be Sion James, with a double double in assist and points.
I think someone from the Celtics is going to get snubbed. Probably SVG, as I think Isaac might make it. If not, then he will be a snub too!
What will they do to get the award?
30 point double double. Gonna come out shooting and then just not gonna stop until that final buzzer
Who will get snubbed?
Maxwell Lewis from the Suns. Consistently a great player but this year his numbers are down a bit from last year and I think the sim gods take notice and leave him out. Even though he would be deserving of the spot. Maybe a pelican takes his spot since the Pels seem to be stealing wins away from the suns this season.
