So just one question before I bounce:
Mac McClung was the leading rebounder on your team in the preseason and his lowest attribute is a 56 in offensive rebounding...which was enough to lead the team in offensive boards specifically. What does his overall prowess allow you to do strategy-wise that you wouldn't be able to do if your point guard was limited solely to traditional point guard skills?

Is this the most fun you have had building a roster?

I don't know that it is. I've made the playoffs 8 straight years. So I haven't had high picks. Mainly it's been flipping veterans for young pieces. To them flip for veterans all while resetting the cap. This is definitely my favorite team coming into a season. Hopefully I can actually have a dominate season with this star studded starting 5. And it can actually defend!

You started selling your team last season when you were the clear #2. Pistons still seem to be the clear #1, but you still seem to have the steam to push all the way this year. Mac was a great pickup, for example (even though it shipped out Xue). What is your team's ceiling this season, and do you see any reason to pull the plug at any point?

We will not be pulling the plug this year. The tax was reset in order for me to feel comfortable in going for it again. I took them to game 7, 2 seasons ago. I think this year we break through and get it done and dethrone the pistons.

I ain't got no tax,
Great players are the only ones that I max.

That's a great question. I think I am much deeper than the Pistons. But I'm not sure that matters overall. I think the starters will play 45-48 minutes in those games. Starting 5, head to head is close. So we'll see how it goes ultimately. Adding talent is definitely an option. I just don't know that I'm going to get much better talent at the 1-4.

We tried something new this sim and went away from a primary defense we will run when the season starts. The defense will be top 5 once we get into the full swing of things. We have 2 new starters and a bunch of new bench guys. So we will have to build some cohesion. I expect the season to start a little mid as we find our roles. Luckily the first 2 weeks of the season features a good chunk of home games. We don't have a weak link. Can our defense limit the pistons more than their defense limits us. That will be the question, that needs an answer.
