Everything related to Naji Marshall this offseason, sucked. It all started with a GM thinking he would be cute by offering a two-year contract to Naji, and Naji thought it was cute, too, apparently. So cute that, after signing he decided to take the rest of the offseason, off.
So the Warriors demand an apology. From Naji, of course, for becoming completely useless to us, and from the GM that thought he'd be cute but might delete later. Well, you didn't delete anything, except for me having any use for this bum. Sure, we insured him, and he will be okay later. Probably not in a Warriors uniform. He will have a DEEP bench role for us, because he's not good at anything anymore, and when he has a bounce back TC next offseason? His contract will be expiring. We'll be nearly guaranteed to lose him, because he'll probably want a max deal a la Kevin Cross because of course he will, and we won't pay it. So, now he's $45m wasted, now and forever, as far as our front office is concerned.
So we demand an apology from that GM. I might not even play PBSL until I get it, either. That'll show him.
Moving on.
Breanna Stewart proved what a star she is in our semi-finals effort against the Mavs last season. She averaged well over 40ppg that series. She had the best TC of our entire roster, and has truly developed into a stunning two way player. She would have a rebound title if she didn't share the floor with Nick Claxton (and vice versa). We have high expectations for her this year, and we have no doubt she'll meet them.
Now, I may have talked a bit of trash about Kevin Cross's contract demands this offseason, but he too is poised to have an incredible season. Our second best TC on the team, Cross has finally begun to realize his potential. He looked great in preseason, and we think he'll keep it up in the regular season, too. Or I will personally punch him in the butt.
Nick Claxton got a little quicker in TC (go Nick!), so we're thinking about making him even quicker. Why not? For his size we don't think it would hurt to have a little bit of speed under him too.
Anyhow, we're a really good team. We're a tough out for anyone. We think if the Mavs keep their all-wing roster together, we'll even whoop on them, too. So bring it, PBSL.
Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Was there any attempt at a Naji Marshall sign and trade after the unfavorable contract he was given in RFA? And do you plan on shopping Naji at Day 60 now that new RFA rules have gone into effect?
And since those two are yes or no questions, does it bother you that Claxton was renamed "Nick" even though his NBA analog is supposed to be "Nic" and that the person responsible for this is also named Nick?

Desert here,
You have an expensive payroll and you are in what's now considered. A rough conference. Is it put up or shut up time?
Our lux tax situation is definitely a ticking time bomb. I'm not sure what we're going to do about that. We built our core very young and as my lux tax is tipping, they're hitting their primes. It's really unfortunate, but I knew it was going to happen. Damn RFA's getting way too big of contracts... FML

I have always been extremely annoyed that Nick named Nic Nick. Just like Casey named Candace Parker Candice Parker and calls her him. How he correctly renamed Jonathan Kuminga is beyond comprehension.
I'm still getting used to this tradable RFA thing. I will definitely keep him available for a trade.
I didn't explore any sign and trade ideas. I wanted Naji, and thought he would bring value to my team even at that price, even at that contract length, but then his TC was wretched. The Nuggets didn't have anything of value to me besides Joseph Ford, but I didn't strongly consider it because he's more expensive and I have a lux tax problem. Also, I came knocking for Ford last season and dude told me I should be knocking about Ron Harper Jr.! Like, bruh, if I wanted Ron and his massive expiring contract, I would have asked about Ron.
In fact, I demand an apology for that old broken trade talk, too.

Were you able to get the apology you were hoping for? Any pointers for anyone else out there on how to secure that apology?
