Welcome to the Kings S70 Press Conference! Let's recap last season and talk about the future.
Last season was kind of a letdown. The team had a lot of new faces and did not gel very well so it was not our best effort. We finished with the 7th pick and selected Jared McCain who will be the next in line to assume the Point Guard throne here in SacTown.
But onto the good news! We made some noise during UFA. We signed Jordan Poole, Lenz Durrenberger, and Malcolm Urbina to bring some strong veteran presence to the squad and managed to keep Wah Wah Jones after a minor snafu during RFA, which was huge.
I'll take a moment to also discuss the elephant in the room. Look, we missed Training Camp by a few minutes last week which was unfortunate but the hits we took are not the end of the world. Those guys are going to bounce back. I'm encouraged to see William Clapton continue to make good progress in the meantime. Overall, I think we are going to take a wait-and-see approach to this team. I'm flexible to make deals up and down the roster if the right trade or two comes along.
We are excited to get another season started and look to rebuild this team into a winner. Thanks for your time today. We will not be answering any questions.
