Welcome to the Toronto Raptors' Season 69 PBSL Presser! I'm GM Penny, and I wanted to take some time to discuss Season 68 and our plans moving forward. Last season was undoubtedly a challenging one for us. We fell short of our goal to make the playoffs, but we know the squad's future is bright. We are going through some growing pains right now but this team will get better soon.
This offseason, we are continuing to add more talent to the team. We carried over ample cap space from last season and managed to make a splash in UFA signing Steeve Ho You Fat, Jalen Warley, and Colton Johnson to the team. We also managed to draft Jizzle James at #4. James was the youngest prospect in the draft and possesses an incredible ceiling. We are excited to see him in the future but plan on redshirting him this season. These additions bring both skill and experience to our roster, contributing to the exciting mix of new faces that will define this season. While the team may have many new faces, and it will undoubtedly be an adjustment, I am genuinely excited about the future. We've laid the groundwork for a team that can compete at a high level, and I look forward to seeing this new roster in action this season and beyond.
Thank you all for your support, and I'm ready to take any questions you may have.
I think you did a good job of acquiring assets in the past few seasons.
At what level do you plan to compete this season?
Are you still trying to make the playoffs?
Is there any chance you might end up tanking?

How has Gradey Dick performed for you since obtaining him during his RFA period? What do you think he needs to add to his game to take the next step?
Not quite the dominant big I expected on offense but he has shown flashes which is encouraging. I'd like to see his FT % improve but that is a pipe dream.

Kamari Brown had a boost in training camp. Having spent some time with me, I'm happy he got the boost. What are your expectations for him this season?
The team's star player, leading scorer, fan favorite. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I'm rooting for Kamari to just enjoy being the best player on the team for years to come.

I'd like to compete for a playoff spot this season. I don't think my team is bad enough to get a high lottery pick again so tanking is not in my plans this season.

I like your team. Kamari Brown seems super legit do you think he has the supporting cast he needs to make a run in a few years.
I like both Alex Fudge and Jizzle James as prospects but neither has seen a minute on the court yet so the verdict on their future is TBD. If they do not pan out, I'll inevitably blow this up and try again.
