S67 Cavs Preseason Presser

Welcome to the Cavs Preseason Presser. We are pleased to welcome our stud GM jlmarines.

GM jlmarines: We were hoping last season was our year in returning to the playoffs. Unfortunately, we finished with a record of 44-38. Once again, the Wizards finished better by a few games. There is no question PF Jonathan Isaac is taking us to the playoffs. PF Isaac has accepted his new role as the team leader and he's ready to make history. We kept most of the team together and minimum changes to our roster. Our priority was to sign veteran players that could provide immediate depth to our young team.

GM jlmarines: We realized Chief K needed help on the defense side. We signed C Zed Key. C Key is an elite blocker, who will provide immediate depth. We are also pleased to re-sign PF/C Jae Wilcox. PF Wilcox is a great defensive player who will also provide immediate help for Chief K.

GM jlmarines: During the draft we selected the best player available. We are super excited to select SF Waka Mbatch. We think SF Mbatch can become a solid starter. We plan to redshirt SF Mbatch and give him time to develop.

GM jlmarines: Part of our rebuilding process is to train our young studs and sign veteran players who can contribute immediately. We are pleased to re-sign SG Raphael Gordon and SF Karlo Pearson. SG Gordon and SF Pearson will be a major factor in the success of our young stud SG Devin Vassell. Last season SG Vassell learned so much from Gordon and Pearson, we think SG Vassell is ready to start. We expect the Cavs to make it to the playoffs.

What is your favorite part about Jonathan Isaac's game? Where do you want to see him improve?

Not sure if he's on the trade block, but I would like to trade for PG Mac McClung. Except of PF Isaac and SG Vassell, I would trade the entire Cavs roster for PG McClung. Thank you for the great question.

What is your favorite part about Jonathan Isaac's game? Where do you want to see him improve?

He's so athletic. He can score so many points. He's a legit baller. I would like for him to be better on defense, something I'm trying to focus on.

Which team do you think you will overtake this season to make the playoffs?

Your willingness to spend your whole team on Mac McClung makes me think you're in the PG market. Jordan Poole has been traded already, likely not moving again this season. Who else do you think you'd trade for if the stars align?

Antonio Gates. Dream roster would be SG Vassell, SF Gates, and PF Isaac. If I can only somehow convince AB, that would be awesome.

What's it feel like to always miss the playoffs every season?

I hate it with a passion. I'm sad and depressed. However, since you are sleeping most of the season, the last 2 seasons, the Cavs finished with a better record than AB and K100. It helps with the pain of losing. Thanks for the great question.

The Wizards. AB and K100 are no competition.
