Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful(and I stress THOUGHTFUL) answers which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.
Deadline TODAY Monday 5pm, Sim #4.
Question:
The Suns are 14-6 and leading their division. Give your best educated guess on how they will inevitably Frye up their season this year and not be a post-season threat.
I’m thinking it winds up being something very simple that happens. They miss inputting their lineup one sim, because they have just seen the town hall as they were going to input. The amazing town hall question distracts them so much that Roberto is then forced to run the same lineup as the previous. This then causes both Jaden Akins AND Cooper Flagg to have monumental injuries that destroy their currents. This then brings the whole morale of the team down and the suns get beat by the Nets, and RHJ, for the last Playoff spot. This having a pure Buddy Pedarza playoffs.
*Buddy division decides to steal the guaranteed spot for the Gary Loredo division because they can.
By trading for AB and having him get hurt again. Injuries only thing that has stopped the suns in two straight postseasons. We all know the pelicans don't want no smoke.
By benching his stars for the rest of the season. I do not currently see the suns missing the post season at all, unless someone in his division makes a big move to challenge him.
I'm guessing that somewhere around midseason, there will be a missed town hall or two, and the position will be offered up to anyone willing to do it. After being the most vocal opponent of late Town Hall post times, Nate will step up to the position and try to earn what he thinks is an easy 5 points. However, it will turn out that coming up with one question about sim league three times a week is a way more arduous endeavor than he bargained for. He'll be so busy trying to think of the perfect questions that he'll forget to set his DCs, respond to trade offers, and maybe do things in his real life like go to work or eat food.
It'll be all Doug's fault. He will stack up the rest of the competition in the Omega conference via trade. This will then lead Doug to becoming dead to me and I'll never be able to speak to him again, solely on principle. I will then get Panda to also join in my Doug boycott, which will put Doug into a horrible depression. I'll feel bad for this, however, and consider forgiving him ... until Johnny Davis gets injured in a late season matchup against the Spurs, putting him out for the playoffs. Then, in a fit of rage, I'll destroy sim league in a Blaze of glory right before the playoffs begin ...
Thus making the Phoenix Suns irrelevant in the playoffs.
He could trade for Mikal Bridges and completely solidify his roster… but instead he will play the i between game and stand pat, inevitably losing to the lower seed in round one. This however could be an absolutely beneficial lesson for the Suns, as they may come to appreciate true greatness in two-way elite players like Bridges.
Most likely someone gets injured and they get frustrated and want to quit and his players will hear about it and not re-sign in their next FA because they’re butt hurt and then black Superman doesn’t quit and tries to pick up the pieces of a war torn roster.
Let’s face it, <expletive deleted> Suns are cursed.
