Yeah, I was gonna use him as a combo guard and hope his size and skill offset his lack of speed. He, AJ, and Lamar would've made a nice ball-moving trio.

At #3 I knew I was gonna go big, it was either Boozer or Okur. Went with Okur due to his versatility and the fact that most of his other important attributes were already decent enough. If I didnt have the intention of maxing Pierce I probably go Caron at #3
Pacers Ring of Honor
P.Ewing (90-93, 98) - R.Pierce (90-91) - S.Augmon (91-96) - D.Brown (93-96) - D.Strong (91-97, 99-02) - P.Pierce (98-05, 12-13) - D.Williams (05-17) - I.Shumpert (11-16) - D.Dedmon (13-18) - J.Williams (19-25, 31-32)

I loved the pick. I'm really high on Okur. Think with some training he can be a legitimate star.

Was it a "compete now" move to draft Okur since you will need to pay Pierce? I really loved the idea of Pierce and Boozer together, but Boozer will need a few seasons to grow

Do you mean the "training" he received in the PR league? Because AD23forMVP isn't walking through that door.

I agree with JNR that Okur with some training and luck in TC could easily be an All-Star whereas Boozer is probably 3 seasons away from being really productive. Definitely a compete now move on my part to pick Okur

Worked out great for the both of us, I was hoping Boozer would fall. I just was certain I was taking who was left b/w Boozer and Prince. Looks like I was way off with Butler even being drafted before Prince.

It did set in motion my youth movement. I could trot out a starting 5 that can't even legally drink.

I think you got a steal with Jay Williams. I could see him jumping to g/g easy.

I think this thread was a great success. I'm surprised in all the years we've had drafts that we never made one of these discussion threads for the draft as it goes.

Curtis Borchardt still available in the 2nd Round for those that want to recreate Ad23's sim league dynasty lmao

The last 5 lines of my 2nd round submission (for the second 2nd rounder) to Quail:

Maceo Baston
Lonny Baxter
Nikoloz Tskitishvili
Efthimios Rentzias
Curtis Borchardt (just to WIG with you)
There's no "I" in team, but you can find "Eat me" if you push it too far.

And some people think second round picks have no utility...
