S65 Cavs Preseason Presser

S65 Cavs Preseason Presser

Welcome to the Cavs Preseason Presser. We are pleased to welcome our stud GM jlmarines.

GM jlmarines: Our rebuilding process is taking longer than expected. We were hoping last season was our year in returning to the playoffs. Unfortunately, our young studs were not ready last season. However, we are seeing significant progress this year. Our young studs are stronger, faster, hungrier this year. Leading our young talent is PF Jonathan Isaac. Isaac is a freak athlete who can score points. We expect Isaac to score a lot points for us.

GM jlmarines: We realized Chief K needed help on the defense side. We traded for Karlo Pearson, who can score points and great defensive player. Pearson just needed a fresh start, and is ready to step up. Pearson knows something special is happening in Cleveland and he wants to be part of the culture. Chief K and Pearson knows the time for Cleveland to shine has arrived.

GM jlmarines: Our priority was to find talent in the draft that can score. We are super excited to select SG Devin Vassell. We think SG Vassell has the potential to be one of the greatest player to ever play for the Cavs. Don't sleep on SG Vassell.

GM jlmarines: Part of our rebuilding process is to train our young studs and sign veteran players who can contribute immediately. We are pleased to signed PG Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa and former lottery pick PF Chubby Fox. PG De La Rosa will get the opportunity to show the league he's still an elite PG. PF Fox will bring valuable depth and experience to our starting lineup.

GM jlmarines: Lets not forget about our super star SG Raphael Gordon. Again, it's a crime he wasn't nominated to the all-star. We expect SG Gordon, C Chief K, and SF Pearson to lead the Cavs to the top of the mountain. Last year we won 33 games. We expect to win 40 games and 6th/7th seed for the playoffs.

GM jlmarines: Here's our starting lineup for the current moment and subject to change as the season goes:

C/PF Chief Kickingstallionsims
PF/SF Jonathan Isaac
SF Karlo Pearson
SG Raphael Gordon
PG Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa
6th: SG Devin Vassell

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: You made a big move trading Primo Spears and Tony Tindall for Karlo Pearson. What kind of move is next on your radar to maximize the win-now window of Karlo?

Now that you've made trades for a win now scenario, and Gordon is 30 himself. How far are you willing to go to make another push this season to be better than a 6/7 seed? Pearson will be 32 next season and Gordon 31. Both will have team options.

Given some of your all-in moves this offseason for elite players, is Vassell or Marotta on the block for another one? Best of luck this year GM jlmarines
Somehow I manage.

I'm open in trading my young superstars for the right veteran player who has 2 great years left. No low ball offers. I expect in return a solid 29-31 yr old blue player, with some juice left. Thank you for the question.

Day 60, I will re-assess my roster. If things are not going well, SG Gordon will be in the market. If things go well, I will be open to more trades for win now season. Stay tuned. Thank you for the question.

Vassell is staying in Cleveland. He will eventually take over SG Gordon. Depending on how the season goes, if we do well, SG Marotta will be available on the trade market for an immediate 30+ yrs old blue player who can win right now. Thank you for the question.

You mention trying to find help for Chief K on the defensive side but for the 2nd straight season, John Lowry finds himself on the bench to start the season. What gives? What does Jon Isaac bring to the table that Lowry is lacking?

John Lowry is a great asset to our team. But, when you have a freak athlete with 0% body fat, who can score all day, it will be difficult to keep him on the bench.

Isaac is just too good to start on the bench. However, we do expect Lowry to play a lot of minutes.

What is your plan with Devin Vassell? Are you trying to train him or focus more on the team as a whole?

I'm going to train him to a purple player and dominate the league. And destroy K100 and AB for good. Thank you for the question.

Are you building a two timeline team? Win now and win later?

Yes! When you have enemies close to you, always make sure you have options. Thank you for your question.
