The Warriors identity is just that - Warriors. We play tough. We make you foul us. We're too tough to make literally any finessed jump shots, even from the free throw line. We'll take you inside and take a shit on your floor. Our front court is literally the fastest the league has ever seen. We should be swatting balls out of the sky on every defensive position, but we're actually so freaking fast that we steal the ball before you ever have a chance to get it up.
Is it just me or have town halls become my opportunity to cut wrestling promos?
To be explicit, we will beat you inside. If you can shoot around us, good on you. That is your only hope.
The Bulls identity is a defensively smart team that values rim protection and forcing difficult shots while on the offensive end, the team is about getting the best shot possible through passing and high percentage looks. We don't take a lot of threes, but the offense is high motion and aims for a high field goal percentage. Our team looks to get the ball inside and get it in the hoop uncontested. While we have guys that can do a little bit of everything, everyone working together at defense and sharing the ball on offense is key to a team that's pretty stacked.
Offensively, defensively, we are everywhere and can/will attack in any way that you can imagine. The primary goals are (offensively) to attack the rim relentlessly (2 players with 100 INS, 4 with 90+, 2 with 80+), however, we have no problems kicking it outside when the lanes collapse (#2 in 3P % in the league) to make you pay. Defensively, we're manning up all across the board and making you beat us. #1 in defensively efficiency, points allowed, and in all 3 of defensive adjusted FG%, points per shot and 3P%.
Basically: Bully ball.
You'll definitely be sore and tired after playing us.
The Grizzlies like to just throw it up and see what sticks. We play fastbreak basketball, take a lot of shots, and hustle every possession to try and be in position to grab every rebound we can to get 2nd chance opportunities. We value size up and down the lineup and prefer to play fluid basketball where players do not have concrete roles during the game. I think this affords us a lot of flexibility in game-planning and gives me opportunities to try and be creative against other teams, particularly those teams with more talent to try and even the playing field.
The current version of the Pacers is dominated by Herb Jones. He's a 3-level scorer who facilitates almost all of our offensive play.
On defense we dont have any true stoppers opting for a more risky gameplan centered around creating turnovers and rim protection---unfortunately this allows a lot of open 3's for the opposing offense and thats an area thats been an issue for this entire era
Team identity is basically unknown at this point. We are a two face style team. Where I guarantee the Celtics have at best a ok cohesion given all of the trades I have conducted this season so far. The original identity was a defensive minded team that tried to get by with good defense and hoping to get enough out of one of our players scoring to get the win. Now, with the trades, we are more of a dynamic team. In that every sim the team is going to change in some way how it operates. The main goal is to get the double double for Celestine though. So I guess that could be an identity as well?
My team Identity is play no defense, collect a game check and make FTs. The only thing my team is good at is making FTs. It will benefit my team in the future but now it's just something they are great at atm. That and lack of defense is what they excel in. Hopefully next season they can be better at something more as they grow. Lack of defense comes with being a young squad. I think this team's defense will be different once Hoyt and PeeWee reach their full defensive potential.
I'd say the Raptors are a team in flux. We wanted to be a paint-heavy team with our stout, young frontcourt but shipping out E.J. Liddell put an end to that pipedream. I think we favor more iso-ball now and just take the first shot we see. We have a lot of athletes on the team which is great, and I do like the improvements we have seen in the perimeter defense with Chris Jackson so maybe we become more of a perimeter team moving forward. I'm still trying to figure this out.
The suns identity is ball movement. We're near the top of the league in assists with no pure point guard. But we have a bunch of guys that can make it very hard to defend. We're an efficient scoring team as we always get good looks. If we had someone to control the offense better that didn't turn it over, this team would be very hard to beat. Right now we're winning games on the sheer fact that our offense is better than your defense. And this approach while good, isn't going to be enough to win through June. I do like that the defense is playing much better since the start of the season. We're scoring well and we're defending. You can't ask for more than that. We'll see how a better PG does with upper echelon weapons around him.
Weekend Players. We will suck for 5 straight games and suddenly we have 2 great games. Our team is young and can score a lot of points. But it's obvious we are not playing good defense. Our young studs need to hit the weights more often and play better defense.
We are a two-timeline team, that is definitely failing in the current timeline. We suck. We have given up, and the organization has determined that it is best to just shut it down for the season. All starters have been benched, and the real fear is that half the team is going to get cut. I guess our identity is to let the rookies play and see what they got; as of now, its not much. We are a bitter old team with no direction. Looks like the only way out of this is new blood next season.
