New York Knicks 1999 press conference(FT. Lil Wayne)

Post by Snuglife91 »

We'll get things started by introducing the new GM of our beloved franchise;

Snuglife91.

Joining him is our newest spokesperson for the team, fresh out of his recent bid in Rikers Island. WEEZY

SnugLife: Now Weezy, we're to understand you wanted to open up with some lyrics to a new song?

Weezy Steps up to the podium, dawning some overpriced headphones.

Weezy: *clears throat*

i'm a beast with the mac, nigga say cheese
new york knicks where its at, choppas chopping down your family tree
in the belly of the beast I guess you are what you eat
it's a cold day in hell with these ice on my teeth
snug hit me up just in the knick of time
got paid 8 mil to throw the word knick in my rhyme
in new york sipping on some long island iced tea
but easter pink sprite & smoking blunts is my thing
gotta rep the birds & bees down on bourbon street
new orleans, fleur de lis, we murder in the first degree
i told my lesbian bitch a dick's just an overgrown clit
next thing you know i tell her swallow dont spit
when its all said and done, i skinny dip with an overweight chick
who i fornicate witth ... *Weezy is abruptly cut off by a panicking snuglife*

Snuglife: Sorry to cut you off there Weezy, but we don't want to offend our morbidly obese fans, because they make us the most capital through concession sales. Now, I'll keep this short and simple. EVen before accepting this job I knew it was gonna be a 2-3 year rebuilding project. We were very pleased to acquire Jason Terry in this year's draft. We also felt good about some of the big men we brought in through free agency. With no real viable assets I've accepted that patience will be the biggest factor in this rebuild. Don't get me wrong fans, I tried my hand at the select, elite talent from this year's free agent class. Unfortunately our main target refused to sign with us because of a personal grudge. I won't get into specifics but it involved my stint in my Miami, strippers & one high stakes game of tecmo super bowl. With that said, I'll go ahead and leave the floor open to questions for either Weezy or myself.

Whoa, whoa! Who was this "main target," and what was the beef there? And could you shed a little light on why you left Miami for the Big Apple?

Generic Wolves Reporter here: with no pick in this draft, are your fans going to be okay with waiting until the end of the 2001 season to find the star who will lead you to the promised land? Any plans on team improvement between now and then?

Nick Melon; Charlotte Observer: Welcome to the league, in the past the Hornets and Knicks had some Epic clashes in the first few rounds of the playoffs. Here in 99, that time seems long how but what do you think is realistic with what your team can achieve and who do you think can come in and lead this club?

Son, how you gonna do this to me??? I thought we were homies!?!? Frye it, I'll answer because it's you asking.

The same player I blessed the heat franchise with 9 seasons ago. The beef has many layers too it, not unlike the 5 layer cheesy burrito from taco bell. I was one of the younger gms at the time so naturally I bonded heavily with this player. At the time he was engaged and due to get married by the end of the year. I thought it would be a good idea to throw him an impromptu bachelor party. Everything was going smoothly until the stripper that I hired showed up. Turns out that his bride to be was turning tricks on the side. Once she showed up that instantly created a riff between us. Mainly due to the fact that I had previously bragged about how talented the stripper was with her mouth. One thing lead to another & the owner of the Heat decided there was only one way to settle it. That's where Tecmo superbowl came in. The owner decided that we play for the right to stay with the franchise. I think the rest of the story tells itself.

Well, first off GWR we don't see much value in this draft. Secondly, the pick has a top 5 protection on it. To be honest, we're gonna do everything we can to make sure that pick doesn't end up in the top 5. We'd much rather the Wizards take this pick over our infinitely more valuable 02 pick. So, if our fans can't comprehend that, then Frye em. Bunch of bandwagon faggots anyway so once this team starts winning they'll show up.

As far as improving, there isn't much more we can do this season. We hope to package one of our elite shooting wing players with an expiring contract. So far we haven't had great reception to our offers. We're always looking to improve, but we're not gonna be the type of organization who feels the need to force a deal to maintain the appearance of trying.

Great question from a shoddy news organization.

I remember watching the playoffs from home, unemployed and aloof. Definitely some rich history between these two organizations. As for your question, it depends on the scale of achievements that we're talking about here. Do I think this team will fight for a playoff spot this year? Well, I can't answer that question honestly because it'll cost me my job. Let's just say the previous GM was a barely functioning alcoholic and i'm left here to clean up the stench of vomit & bile. I think we're green at the 1-2 positions. I like our Wings shooting & we have some serviceable big men. I think we have a scrappy club who will win some games that they have no business being in. I'm looking at Mobley to step up and take his game to the next level. Any type of success we have will hinge on how well he's progressed this off-season.

Jack Markson here from the Golden Take. After looking at this roster post-TC, some are calling it the worst team in sim league history. Do you agree or disagree? Do you have any plans to make this team better this season, or do you feel it's important for the team to stay as is?

How do you plan to add talent around Mobley and Terry, and how long until you feel they are ready to carry this team?

Jon Snow, WSN. Welcome back to the league. Can you give a message to the fans of New York on why you are the man to lead this franchise after several years of neglect from numerous GM's?
Pacers Ring of Honor

I don't see my team finishing with the worst record this season, so I'd have to disagree with the sentiment that it's the worst ever. In response to the tanking question, I'd say I made a legitimate effort to field a competitive roster. I didn't sabotage my team with a crippling trade. I attempted to bring in higher quality player I just didn't succeed. Winning is probably the second priority right now I will admit. I want to win, but I need to see serious progression in my backcourt more than anything.

I'm always scoping potential trades. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not oozing in viable trade assets, & i'm not looking to mortgage my future just to have my team fight for the 8th seed. So that leaves free agency & the draft. I expect a much more productive off-season next year. As for Mobley & Terry, I was pleased with what I saw in pre-season. I think it's clear that Terry has the higher ceiling of the two players. I'm not entirely sure I'd want those two to carry this team long term. I'm priming Terry to take over the starting 2 position and having Mobley as his back up/6th man. I think that'll take 1-2 more seasons.

Appreciate it, glad to be back. Well, for starters I'm not as short-sited. I have more experience & after so many gms you gotta think at least one sticks >_> I have a plan and it involves more than just one off-season, rushing to stick a band-aid on a gaping wound.
