Sure I'm self-centered but I think the software's algorithm can recognize the absurd turnaround my team made this year, and give me credit for it. If not me, it's gotta be Mamba or RPF.
MVP: Antonio Blakeney (officially), Harold Schiff possibly.
AB is the best player in the game. Schiff is the best center in the game. Software loves a big guy, though, and he's a big guy having a big year on a big playoff team. If Nick got his hands on the Magic sooner, I might have picked Schiff officially.
ROOKIE: Pee Wee Kirkland
Tight race with... I think... Jeff Van Gundy. But, I give Pee Wee the edge to finish the season strong. Pistons had a rough sim and Millsap runs that team now anyway.
DEFENDER: Les Kim
Let this g/g guy go out with a bang in Utah. I think Wembanyama or really Diallo deserves it more, but with Diallo out the rest of the season, I think it's Les's to lose.
6TH MAN: Lu Dort
Why not? I don't think anyone is playing anyone off the bench like the Pistons did Frank Daily back in the day. Lu Dort is putting up starter numbers off the bench. Maybe he started too many games... I dunno. I'm going Lu Dort.
MOST IMPROVED: No idea. Let's go Willis Wilkins on the Magic.
1ST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE:
Harold Schiff
Ned Lomax
Ken Dirks
Antonio Blakeney
Darius Garland
GM: Warriors
MVP: Vaughn Millsap
ROOKIE: JVG
DEFENDER: Les Kim
6TH MAN: David Lomas
MOST IMPROVED: Phil Smith
1ST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE:
C. Harold Schiff
F. Brandon Ingram
F. James Andrews
G. Vaughn Millsap
G. Antonio Blakeney
Sim seems to be all over the place so my answers probably are too. like father like son.
GM: Panda
Very rare this spot goes to the best team, but it's still generally a higher seed. I kind of think it'll go to whoever loses the division race between the Nuggets/Warriors
MVP: Harold Schiff
Leaning Blakeney honestly, but Schiff is a comparable scorer, on a better team, but also is a great rebounder and shot blocker to boot.
ROOKIE: Bernardo Carrasco
Some good choices this season. Since I think its a toss-up, I'll go with the most recent #1 pick who is averaging 15-4-4.
DEFENDER: Les Kim
He's won it this many times in a row and still doing all the same things.
6TH MAN: Cam Whitmore
Rockets aren't good so no one is paying attention, but Cam is averaging 19.5 points with every game off the bench.
MOST IMPROVED: Hoyt Timmerman
Who the hell knows really? But due to a huge minutes bump, Hoyt is producing a bit more than past seasons.
1ST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE:
Harold Schiff
James Andrews
Les Kim
Antonio Blakeney
Vaughn Millsap
GM: RPF
Another strong season capped off with another division title despite the TC crashes with his veterans. The Nets took the Lakers to the brink last postseason. Let's see if their adjustments one year later are enough to get over the hurdle.
MVP: Antonio Blakeney
ROOKIE: David Brown
Leads all rookies in blocks
DEFENDER: Les Kim
6TH MAN: Cam Whitmore
MOST IMPROVED: Nicholas Zike
TC boost has been a blessing for Zike. This is the best value contract for the imminent future, especially considering teammate Vaughn Millsap's contract is expiring.
1ST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE:
G: Darius Garland
G: Antonio Blakeney
F: James Andrews
F: Ned Lomax
C: Harold Schiff
I have no idea what criteria the computer uses to determine GMOY, but the Kings are sitting at 4th right now in the stacked Alpha Conference, and they made some big signings in free agency, which the computer seems to like, stealing Angelo Romero and grabbing guys like Chris Throckmorton and Immanuel Quickley on team friendly deals.
MVP: Harold Schiff
Sure, Millsap has him on points, but Schiff is also averaging over 10 rebounds per game, almost 3 swats per contest, and he's the main guy on a team that pulled it together to take their division in the Orlando Magic.
ROOKIE: Pee Wee Kirkland
I think it's going to be close between Kirkland and Carrasco (and maybe even JVG), but Kirkland's got the edge in rookie of the month awards, and the stats are razor thin between a lot of guys.
DEFENDER: Victor Wembanyama
Might be the first time in a while Les Kim doesn't win this (although he's still in the running), but Wembanyama has more stocks by a razor thin margin of .2. While he's 2nd to Kim in the league in swats, he's stealing the ball a little bit more with 1.4 SPG.
6TH MAN: Kalin Lucas
I'm not familiar enough with the league to be confident about this one. Gerald Dixson of the Heat could win it, but he might not qualify depending on how Mike Lowry runs his depth charts. Thus, I'm going to go with Kalin Lucas, who's dropping 13.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game. Phil Smith and Ibrahim Diallo are out for the April sims, so that'll give Kalin Lucas a bit more time to build a case.
MOST IMPROVED: Phil Smith
Gonna stick with the Hawks here. A lot of guys could win it based on PPG jumps, but Smith is the only one on the short list I have that jumped from roleplayer to team leader. It probably goes to someone who's already good though and just ended up getting an outsized amount of run and playing time.
1ST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE:
C - Harold Schiff
F - James Andrews
F - Brandon Ingram
G - Vaughn Millsap
G - Antonio Blakeney
GM: nickmalone77 (Orlando Magic) - Took over the Magic right after the season started and put on a clinic on how to build a team on the fly with a flurry of trades. The Magic added a lot of good depth and are on their way to a well-earned division title after passing the Atlanta Hawks a few sims ago.
MVP: Vaughn Millsap - The scoring title is within grasp and this guy is just bonkers. He put Detroit on his back and carried them all season long.
ROOKIE: Jeff Van Gundy - Finally getting a shot to shine on an up and coming Pistons team with young talent everywhere. Job well done, Coach!
DEFENDER: Les Kim - he is the the 21st century Sultan of Swat
6TH MAN: Cam Whitmore - boring pick but dude is balling.
MOST IMPROVED: Raphael Gordon - He was the "alpha" in Cleveland last season but this season he is the Alpha of a team still in the playoff hunt. Without Gordon, the Cavs are a bottom 5 team easily.
1ST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE:
Antonio Blakeney
Vaughn Millsap
James Andrews
Saadiq Bey
Harold Schiff
GM: greeple
Greepy is doing a fabulous job with his team and deserves it. I would give Nick this if he was the GM from the start of the season and I don’t know if the game acknowledges misseason takeovers
MVP: Vaughn Milsap
Scoring leaders usually get MVP, deserving or not. I’ll bet on that.
ROOKIE: Jeff Van Gundy
He’s having a great”rookie” season and excited with his progress.
DEFENDER:HAROLD FARKIN SCHIFF
best stocks boy in the league. Close second to Fabian Hub.
6TH MAN: Gerald Dixson
Honestly just a guess.
MOST IMPROVED: Ralph Gordon (Cavs)
He’s just had the biggest uptick in Ppg from last year. Another BIGGEST STAT LEAP.
1ST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE:
Schiff
Phil Smith
Ingram
Milsap
Blakeney
