Rules: 1 point if you give a thoughtful answer to the question, which I will award after the timer ends for responses.
QUESTION #3: TEAM BUILDER! CREATE A TEAM YOU'D MOST LIKE TO USE IN A SEASON. ROSTER RULES: 1 PURPLE POTENTIAL, 2 BLUE POTENTIALS, 1 GREEN POTENTIAL, 1 YELLOW.
C Harold Schiff (blue)
PF Fabian Hub (blue)
SF Dorian Whitley (yellow)
SG Antonio Blakeney (purple)
PG Zaire Wade (green)
Now, this is strictly off the top of my head. I think Harold Schiff is the league's #1 center, hands down. Dirks might still be better than Hub but IDGAF. I ride or die with my hubby. Dorian Whitley is not getting much action this year in Atlanta - definitely took a huge dive in training camp - but can still dribble the ball and score. Expectations from a yellow have to be minimal... I would have pick Nicholas Zike before he got his color because he did exactly what I PG should: run offense and shoot 3's. Now he just does that at a higher level.
Anyway, Blakeney is obvious. He's the best in the league. I'll be shocked if his name hits the finalized trade threads this year.
And Zaire Wade is freshly green. Still good. Still able to run offense and not serve as a total disaster on defense. In fact, he's quite competent on defense.
So yeah, gimme baller big boi blues, the obvious purp, and serviceable role playing greens and yellows please, thanks.

You forgot to mention that he's still available for the price of two 10+ year vet mins and points with full bird rights.
C: David Bower
PF: Genaro Montoya
SF: Saddiq Bey
SG: Jeffrey Holt
PG: Safi Fino-A-Laself
I decided to attempt to do this only by using the positions these players are listed at currently. Took more effort than I wanted it to. Anyways!
First off, I absolutely wasn't going to pick another purple over my boy Safi. That was the #1 pick on my made-up team here. Didn't matter who may be better at the moment, he's my guy. Helps that he's great too.
The last pick? It was tough figuring out where to place my green spot for a moment but when I realized Holt (normally a PG) was listed at SG, it made this simple. He's athletic, can flex to PG, can score inside and from the 3. Nice complement to Safi.
David Bower at Center isn't my favorite of the yellows (I wanted Killian Hayes but he's listed at the same spot as Safi), but he still can score inside and has a nice jumper. He's also got enough athleticism to play and 100 strength. Last time he got real minutes, he scored over 20 ppg. He'll be alright here.
Genaro Montoya at PF. This was a tough position to pick from as there's a lot of good choices. Finances are the main reason I don't have Montoya on my real Lakers roster, honestly and I've always loved him as a player. Might as well add him to the MORE pretend version of the pretend game.
Then Bey at SF. I've long called Safi a bit of a Bey clone, though Safi isn't the defensive presence Bey has been. Another player I really tried putting on my Lakers in recent seasons and his offense/defense combo is still elite and his size is needed to help cover for Holt's problems in those areas.
This roster would attack the basket HARD and I'm betting would score a ton of points and slay from the 3. Would even tinker with outside focus again for the first time since my Finals run with Loredo and Jordan Johnson.
C: Harold Schiff
PF: Joe Pabon
SF: Saddiq Bey
SG: Antonio Blakeney
PG: Teddy Dizon
Blakeney is a no brainer; one of the most athletic and offensively skilled players in the game. He's not the best defender, but he does enough.
Saddiq Bey brings some versatility to the team. While he's not the quickest SF, he can play both SF/PF positions and be dominant on both sides of the floor.
Harold Schiff literally does everything except shoot 3s... and that's okay, we got Bey and Blakeney for that. Schiff will dominate on offense, defense, everywhere. His motor makes him a great running mate to Blakeney and Bey.
Teddy Dizon is kinda surprising to me. He's currently #5 in assists and has great potentials and size for a PG. He's a sieve on offense, but I'm not putting him on this squad to score. I'm putting him out here to set up Blakeney, Bey & Schiff. He's also got quick hands and am above average defender on the perimeter.
Lastly, Joe Pabon is a slower PF, but honestly he and Schiff could rotate positions if needed. Pabon is a guy who can do a little if needed, but not hurt you on either side of the court.
Offensively you have two dominant offensive powerhouses as a big and a guard. Then I surround them with a versatile wing who can still dominate with and without the ball, a willing passer+defender, and another plug-and-play big who won't hurt you on any side of the ball.. a team built for success.
C: Harold Schiff (b/b)
PF: James Andrews (b/b)
SF: Fang Shuo (g/g)
SG: Antonio Blakeney (p/p)
PG: Killian Hayes (y/y)
Schiff is leading the league in both points and rebounds, and James Andrews is 7th in both of those categories. My blue blue front court would be great at offense, great at rebounding, and both guys can block and post defend to boot.
Fang Shuo isn't the Shuo of old, but he's still putting up a lot of points efficiently, and he'll be solid enough on this team as kind of a swiss army knife type player.
Antonio Blakeney is one of two current purple players, and he's the better of the two (in my opinion) to build a team around. He's just an incredible scoring option who plays decent defense whereas Karlo plays great defense but isn't as strong on offense.
Finally, Killian Hayes still can do everything very well...it's just that he's not very quick anymore. He's y/y, but he can still facilitate and shoot and score with adequate defense. I think this team would score a lot of points and grab all the rebounds. They might let up ore points than other teams here, but they'd outgun anyone in my book.
Alright, so since this is based on potentials im going to go with a team of the future.
Purple: Blakeney. Because duh. He is my best player. He is the best player in the game. What is most surprising is that all these people listed him and about one of them messaged me to deal for him.
Blue 1: EJ Lidell. This guy is going to be good. The Raptors traded for him from the Suns. Which has only improved there team, while the suns have been searching for a big since the move. Yeah I understand there were more parts to that deal, but I don’t care. Offensively he is already producing well, and has room to get better over the life of his deal (a very team friendly deal).
Blue 2: Gary Rockwell. I’ve already talked about this guy in my presser. I love him and his game. If the kings were more active, I think they could make this guy a stud. He is an all around player on the court that can play multiple positions. He will fit great next to AB and provide flexibility for them to switch positions.
Green: Les Kim. I know I said this was for the future. But if you have the chance to grab a guy who has been a multi time DPOY then you take him. I know Wade is another good choice here, but I have guards and others have talked about him already.
Yellow: Zike. He may be the only answer here that feels like cheating, since he is a yellow/green. And all the other good yellow guards are also y/g (rager, Dizon). So if I have to justify a y/y then I will say Larry Hatfield who does pretty much what I would need.
Darius Garland - Best facilitator in the game. Surround him with scorers and he will find them. An elite athlete he can also find buckets with ease. And a terrific defender is just icing on the cake.
Lyle Galloway - Elite defender who can still hold his own, even if he is aging. When he is not making stops or swiping errant passes, Galloway can still find his way around the rim.
Xue Huo - future star of the league. Already a lockdown defender he continues the trend of making it as difficult as possible to score while finding ways to get buckets be it an easy layup or the stepback 3.
Evan Mobley - my favorite big in the game. Absolute unit both on offense/defense. Proven to carry the load while in Toronto and now is the dream teammate in Los Angeles in a cast of stars. He fights for every rebound, plays tough on offense, and isnt afraid to play defense. Sign me up.
Reginald Fulford - one of my favorite project players. He was a unicorn and while the defense is not up to my high standards, his unique skillset more than makes up for it. He can definitely stretch defenses with his perimeter game and if Garland can find him on the 3-point line, he is ready to launch.
Everyone knows by now my obsession with C?lestin aka the riddler. He wouldn't need to score which is perfect because he's a point god and would average 10 assists with this roster.
Akins gives me some home team love but also he is a stud. Les Kim can still ball just a little old but we need vets that can score defend and rebound.
Schiff is a monster and as a 2/3rd leading option on a team? Yikes for opponents.
AB no comment necessary.
AB and Schiff out here as league consensus at their positions.
Yellow: Clestin Decottignies gonna copy that pick. Love the name, and the A passing rating is awesome. I dont like this contract at all because he does not even play but he will get starter minutes from me
Green: Saul King. Wish I insured him earlier this season but he is still a great rebounder. I like his team-first attitude.
Blue: EJ Lidell. My new favorite Raptor. He has improved tremendously this season and will be a cornerstone for years to come. He can score, rebound, and block shots. Penny is not looking forward to paying his max contract in a few seasons haha
Blue: Gary Rockwell. A true guard. I would love to have him score and help facilitate. He is a great gym rat personality.
Purple: Blakeney. Everyone has sung his praises so need to beat a dead horse. He should be MVP so I hope AngryBanana trades him to me this season! Call me.
