I would like to nominate this trade for Larry Canfield between the Mavs and the Cavs: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=12303
Mavs send:
John Lowry
David Mantooth
Kenneth Douglas
10 points

Cavs send:
Larry Canfield
Sure, it didn't get the Cavs the last playoff spot, and the Cavs didn't get anything better than 10 points, but this was exactly the type of move both teams needed to make. The Cavs weren't going anywhere and it's good to see them posting some activity to benefit them in the future since they're not the most aggressively run team. The Mavs are a newer team, and I was privy to several mind boggling trade targets they had. This was not one of them. This is exactly the type of player the Mavs should have been going for, and I hope the missed playoffs don't discourage the Mavs into thinking this move wasn't the right thing to do. Good job to both GMs for making this happen.

I'll be nominating a deal that I'm still not sure I'd have made, BUT I know those involved are happy with.

For Josh, I think it's a no-brainer as I think Don Long has great potential and Q is a proven young scorer but also he is looking to reset this coming off-season so getting a player with some time left on his rookie deal is a smart move. Plus, with Ayo on-board already, he can get two positions covered with young players instead of just Bridges.

For Charlie, he covets defensive focused wings to pair with Blakeney and he has a focused plan to fully develop Bridges to get his 2-star duo to go with Romero, Kickingstallionsims. His window is NOW with AB at the peak of his powers and he got the guy he feels best positions him to strike.

This is an under the radar trade that I feel helped out both teams. Overall a win-win for everyone involved.

Heat / Cats

Heat Send:
Poole
Milne
5 points

Bobcats Send:
Krebs
Moore

Not a game changer for either team, but I liked how mutually beneficial the deal was. DrK maximized value out of a couple good FA signings and got a young g/b PG back with a decent backup and points. Heat had to capitalize on this season's potential, with Bates playing at his best and Kai starting to lose some steam. If this is the Heat's last year in contention before rebuilding, this was a good move to push his last chip in, and Poole is a good starting point for the Bobcats to build on next year.
Somehow I manage.
