Should I still write what I think is going to happen?
OF COURSE!
I will not be dragging this out since I only need 5 points to cap myself in written media points though, so let’s do this quick and dirty.

ROUND ONE
#2 Milwaukee Bucks vs. #7 Brooklyn Nets
As the seeding and records would show, the Bucks should pull this one out relatively easily. At this point they are up 2-0 in the series, though I am looking forward to what kind of pressure the Nets can put on them as the series transitioned to Brooklyn. Saddiq Bey was the MVP for a reason, though the Nets have a few players that can play with anyone in Milwaukee (Caruso, Andrews, Moody). Still, I think the Nets just failed to make enough moves to really make a dent here.
WINNER: Bucks in 5
#3 Los Angeles Lakers vs. #6 Sacramento Kings
It is tied up 1-1 after the first two in Los Angeles, which is not what I hoped to see. I’ve built the better roster, but it’s a roster very much playing like a middling team since trading away a few core guys to get beneath the tax number. The Kings have a couple great players and could very well pull this one out. Still, I trust my gameplanning and players and I think I’ll find a way.
WINNER: LAKERS in 6
#4 Indiana Pacers vs. #5 Utah Jazz
Patrick Williams going down is a big blow, as is splitting the first two in Indiana. I think the Jazz, barring an injury of their own, has enough firepower to give a short-handed Pacers team a run and then some. Les Kim continues to be a ridiculous player and the 4x defensive player of the year will lead this squad to a win.
WINNER: JAZZ in 7

Round One
#2 Washington Wizards vs. #7 Miami Heat
I give the Heat kudos for continuing to churn and pulling out a playoff spot at the last moment, giving them some confidence heading into the future. I think the Wizards are going to bounce Miami out of here for the off-season, but I would not be surprised at all if the Heat go and make it difficult for them to do so. Kai Jones is a monster and there’s enough helpful other pieces for the Heat to make them sweat before the Heat’s lack of depth makes them falter.
WINNER: WIZARDS in 6
#3 Memphis Grizzlies vs. #6 Denver Nuggets
The Grizzlies should be able to pull this one out, even with dropping one of the first two at home. The addition of Nix at the deadline gives the Grizzlies the flexibility to play with anyone as long as K100 starts toying with his lineups. The Nuggets are a tough, explosive, young squad but I don’t believe they are quite there yet, save for some wizardry from Johnny Davis.
WINNER: GRIZZLIES in 7
#4 Golden State Warriors vs. #5 Orlando Magic
It might be 2-0 now, but I feel like this series could be a 7-game affair. Schiff and Ken Dirks are so strong and monstrous in the front court that it can impact a lot of what an opposing team might want to do. Trust me, I will take Gauss, Dort and Bone to win in the end, but the Magic shouldn’t just roll over.
WINNER: WARRIORS in 7.

ROUND TWO
#1 Boston Celtics vs. #5 Utah Jazz
This is where the sounds of smooth jazz go to die. Blakeney, Folse, Cunningham will overwhelm and overpower the Jazz, who only get to this point because of an unfortunate injury the round before. Celtics just have too much firepower, who also happen to play good defense as well. Getting 2/5 of the championship Pistons’ starting 5 probably wasn’t a horrible idea!
WINNER: CELTICS in 4
#2 Milwaukee Bucks vs. #3 Los Angeles Lakers
Once again … my team is very average now. Getting one playoff series win was good enough. The Bucks are simply deeper and have the MVP. It will hurt my heart to have my cousin, a complete newbie, take me down, but at least I can finally kick him out of the family group chat!
WINNER: BUCKS in 5

ROUND TWO
#1 Chicago Bulls vs. #4 Golden State Warriors
The Bulls are absolutely the deepest team in the league with one of its best players in tow (Genaro Montoya). Josh knows how to get as much as possible out of his great teams and I do not expect this to be some outlier. Jon’s Warriors will be a fun test but one that I see the Bulls passing with flying colors.
WINNER: Bulls in 6
#2 Washington Wizards vs. #3 Memphis Grizzlies
I think I’m going with the upset. Probably to my detriment because I shouldn’t underestimate X and his gameplanning. However, I just think the Grizzlies have a better, higher ceiling, explosive roster and it will finally come into play for X that he hasn’t went out of his way to get too many absolute studs. I look for Nix to make a massive impact as the games become more important.
WINNER: MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES

CONFERENCE FINALS
#1 Boston Celtics vs. #2 Milwaukee Bucks
Saddiq Bey is often the most impactful player on the court every time he gets into a game, however I think there is a case to be made that the Celtics could have TWO guys that might be capable of taking that crown from him. I don’t see the Bucks rolling over and weirder things certainly have happened in this game, but I find the Celtics to be the scariest team in the league, if not the deepest. Scary wins here.
WINNER: CELTICS in 6

CONFERENCE FINALS
#1 Chicago Bulls vs. #3 Memphis Grizzlies
I think this would be a really fascinating series, especially if K100 pulls himself out of autopilot by then to really go toe-to-toe with Josh in game planning. They both have very versatile lineups, with guys capable of playing multiple positions. Part of me wants to go Memphis simply not to have 1 vs 1 in the Finals, but I will still go with Montoya and the boys.
WINNER: BULLS in 7
FINALS
#1 Boston Celtics vs. #1 Chicago Bulls
Great times, greats players, great series.
In the end, I feel like the Celtics have too much top-end talent and that will be what separates them from Chicago. Montoya can do his best, and Sims and Garland play their roles to perfection, but Cunningham can match-up with Garland, Folse can make Montoya work hard, but I’m not sure there is an adequate match-up for Blakeney in this series. If there is, you can switch my pick but …
