Re: S87 Town Hall 5

The recent draft classes have been light on dominant big men, but the standings reflect that you can't win without a strong front-court.
Is it still the best strategy to build around dominant bigs?
I think that it is important to have good bigs, but their defense and rebounding is much more ...

Re: S87 Town Hall 3

Name one team that should make a trade, but won't.
To me, it's the Rockets. 78 is not a high trading team. The trades come few and far between.

Why do they need the trade?
They have a really good team of mixed timeline players. With Ewing being so good at a young age, they could try to compete now ...

What are the implications of lifting training restrictions?
I think we will see an influx of people training people to A level. Will it make a huge difference, no. But if they are seeking those letter increases, I think we should still make it a more than the cost of B. Training someone from B to A ...

Re: Chicago Bulls Preseason Press Conference

You rode the last build down to the bloody end, and it looks like a strong rebuild in the making?
Do you think you learned anything about how and when to go all in, and when to cut losses?
Or was it more of a strong team that didn't quite reach their potential?

It was definitely a strong team ...

Steve Duin, the Oregonian:

Roy Tarpley and Gerald Wilkins got sizeable minutes increases in the preseason and gave you commensurate production increases. Which of your young up-and-comers do you feel has the greatest potential to "make the leap" to stardom this season?

I think it will be ...

Picks Emmington, SLOE Gazette,

How aggressive will this team be this season? While there have been rumors of moving on from Cheeks, do you see this team trying to compete this season, or maybe put it off for at least one more season?

I don't see this team as being ready just yet. A lot of our ...

Re: Supersonics Season 8 Presser

Carey Scurry has some potential to be a top defender in the league. His size and athleticism paired with his skill is a combination that easily would scare other players in the league. What is your long term vision with Scurry? Do you see him as a player to invest some extra training into? Can he ...

Scottie Pippen got no playing time in the preseason, which is surprising given that the recommended DC/GP made Mo Cheeks your best player. ...perhaps he still is! But what kind of expectations do you have for Scottie in his rookie year? ROTY candidate, or lower expectations than that?

Chet Youbetcha, Dimmadome News: if Scottie was taken first who would have been your pick? Or would you have traded it?

Also, do you see Wilkins as a long term player on your team or a piece to be moved? He has already been moved twice early in his career as a player to get someone bigger, and I ...

Chicago Bulls Preseason Press Conference

Welcome to Chicago!

Last season we planned for a rebuild. We sent out some of our stars to get as much young capital that we could. John Koncak, Roy Tarpley, Gerald Wilkins, and Scott Skiles all came in with the potential for starters in this league. We also got a Nuggets 1st round pick for the ...

Re: Bullets 87 Presser

You have a few good young players in Hot Rod Williams and Kenny Smith that will be coming off of the bench. How much floor time do you see them having? Do they have a chance of making it into the starting line up this season? What is your hope for these two young players?

What were the biggest headlines of the offseason?
- The trade of Barkley for McHale. This trade showed that the Hawks are all in for the next few seasons, but it also keeps the Bucks as a top contender in the conference. No set back for aging stars for the Bucks with yet another retool.
- The ...
