The De'Aron Fox trade. Obviously it gives Doug a better team (if Fox gets healthy in time to save him) but it also just seemed to come out of nowhere.

Nuggets trade for Glen Sabo for Marcel McAlister, Kevin Stephan, John Vines, Eugene Melson, 39 Nuggets 1st, and 10 Points.

Probably the biggest shock of a trade I can remember for a while. Great trade for the Nuggets and while most GMs probably forgot, Mamba agreed to this trade before the day 60 sim where his team was skyrocketing in the standings. He could have backed out but stuck to an agreed deal. I wouldn't fault him for either sticking with the deal or backing out, but he stuck to his word.

When the T-Wolves acquired Jerry West they pretty much cemented a trip to the playoffs. Likely seeded against the Bulls who moved to get under the apron, who knows? Maybe they get out of the first round. They sent 10 points, young talent that will not be realized for a while anyway, and vet mins, keeping both teams under the cap.

The big boppers have already been posted, so I want to call attention to one that may have gone under the radar: Mavs/Pelicans: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=9633

The Mavs were struggling hard before this trade, and by getting a defensive specialist like Cam Reddish to plug some of the swiss cheese they'd been rolling out on D and replacing Jared Allen with not too steep a downgrade in Chris Pallies helped them turn around their season and finish with a winning record and secure a playoff spot.

The Pelicans cashed in and got an impact big where they had previously only had Pallies and Fortre...neither one of them the complete frontcourt player you want to pair with Jordan Johnson and a playoff run.

Neither team may be in the championship conversation as both teams have weaknesses that more loaded opponents can exploit, but it was a nice trade for both sides that appeared to get the job done that both GMs wanted it to do, even if it's not a trade that will have repercussions beyond this season.
