Yep, here we are. Another failure of a season in the books. Another shake up in the offseason in the books. Typically I come in here pretty spirited with the team we've been able to put together, but Training Camp didn't go anywhere in the direction I had hoped. So forgive me if I'm mailing shit in right now because honestly, I think my my "Give-A-Fcuk" rating must've gotten hit in TC as well. To be honest, I'm only out here so I don't get fined (and so that I do get my pernts for Pre-Season Participation).

So let's do a high level recap:
- Ja Morant taken out in the conference finals game 1 for remainder of the playoffs.
- Lost series in 5 or 6 (who gives a fcuk, it's an L)
- Trade Justin Rodriquez for Ernest Long and Sabo-lite Mamadi Diakite
- Lost out on re-signing McRae and Carl Howard by a combined $3mil/year
- Charlie Porter took a vet min over 5mil/yr over 4yrs
- Signed Curtin, Navarra, Giguere, Nieto, and Bagley in UFA
- Resigned Romeo Langford and Joseph Kish
- Picked 3 players to insure (Olney, Pastor, and Diakite), leaving Haile uninsured
- TC happened
- Potentials and currents gutted for Pastor (insured), Diakite (insured), and Haile (uninsured... smh)… in addition to Curtin and Langford getting expectedly slashed as well.

The goal going in was for Haile to be my starting 2, split minutes at the 3 for Curtin/Olney, and Diakite starting. Haile still looks above average, but his hits really set back where he could've been this year. Pastor and Diakite's current hits drastically hurt their ability to be the clear cut contributors to the extent I had planned. I don't have my pick this year, but I can't imagine being a true contender I envisioned. We'll give it a go, but don't be surprised if you see Morant or Long go on the block (Long moreso than Morant but we'll see).

Send your questions; I'm done here.

GWR: After you were predicted being a division winner by popular podcast Horns and Fangs, I have a question: all talent being equal, do you think your GM experience is an added advantage in a division title race?

I'm not entirely sure. It needs to be a mix of navigating talent disparity and gameplanning. The experience can only do so much; and when you plan around one thing and then TC taketh away said plan, the ability to pivot is important. Whether or not I have the energy or desire to pivot, that's a completely separate question

Are you interested in trading Pastor?

If you did trade Morant, what are you looking for? What're you looking to do with your team if you do move on from you big guns?

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Give me your thoughts on why you decided to move on from Justin Rodriquez. And now that you've seen your share of offseason tragedy, do you still make that trade?

You got slimed, Quail. You are one of the leading GMs of PBSL and, while the Bucks aren't doing it for you, you're a pretty active GM, too. So, got any planned articles, or are you truly phoning it in?

To be honest, if I moved Moran, it would probably be in the upcoming offseason when there is more cap flexibility. I’d like a combination of win now piece, rookie deal guy, maybe a pick or points to at least start a convo.

The goal is to get under the tax somehow

I always wanted Diakite. He was the targeted player I really liked going forward. So I was happy to get him as a key cog who can come in and contribute as a starter despite being only in the beginning of his 3rd year. And yea I think I still do the trade. If I kept rodriquez, I’d have to go more aggressively at McCrae and find a starting 4. This strategy I get more comfortable with, despite it looking bleak after TC.

I’ll crank out some memes when I can. We’ll see if things turn around over the course of the season.
