Rules for Nominations:(READ CAREFULLY AS THERE ARE CHANGES)
The cultivation of a team's talent boils down to smart management in the front office. From drafting to making good trades to free agency, managing a roster’s skill-set, and managing a salary cap is not an easy job. Though the PBSL is mostly cyclical in terms of the power balance, the best general managers are able to keep their teams in the playoff picture year in and year out through proper management of their salary cap situation and close monitoring of how their team is built and fit together. But maybe some GM was able to completely flip a team, get out of the tax, and avoid a total rebuild while still being competitive. Whoever you feel deserves a nod, just make sure to break down why they deserve it.
Please break down why your nomination fits this bill and why your nomination deserves this award.
As always there will NOT be any prodding of other GMs or any general bitchassness in these threads. It will be deleted upon discovery.
Anybody who submits a nomination can claim 1 point (excluding self-nominations)
Max is 1 point, regardless if you submit nominations in other categories
Winning nomination gets an additional point like last season
Submit your nominations by Friday, 6/26 @ 1159pm CST

The work done to get the Pistons into respectability midway through gets my vote and respect.

Pauly P is the obvious candidate here. Having been a team that starts great and can't quite hold the same steam throughout the season, Pauly made sure that did not happen this year and is the favorite to win a title as far as I'm concerned. Obviously signing Fox was huge, but smaller deals throughout the season bolstered his already great crew.

Shout out to Josh for beating me to the punch to grab RJ Barrett and subsequently other players to fill out his squad like role players Norrin Radd and Aubrey Bynum. He's catapulted himself into the BEST RECORD IN THE LEAGUE hunt and on absolute fire right now. Congrats on an awesome season!

meme jokes aside - I'll nominate The Syndicate for an outstanding season leading the Nuggets. He ran a lean lineup and made some great trades all season long. I cant add anything to the outstanding Leiker acquisition this offseason, but to surround a future All-League talent with players like Barton, Howard, Kirkendall, and Mike Williams was some A+ team management ability. And to acquire so much talent, all while owing just a modest tax bill at season's end and getting 60+ wins along the way is definitely worthy of GMOY consideration

I'll nominate IamQuailMan for the GM of the Year as I think he has done an outstanding job to develop his team into a true contender this year. He made an outstanding trade to get Bjorn, who was his leading scorer. He also saw his core grow with Ja Morant, Rodriquez, Schumann and McRae, all making some sort of jump. He also got Brooks Jackson, which will set him up to play along side Ja Morant and eventually take over the mantle when Morant moves on. For QuailMan, who a short time ago had Fox as his top player to what he created now is amazing.
