The Mysterious missing Hornets

Clark Kent, Fox 8 News reporting live at the scene of The Charlotte Hornets team facility.
Everything seems to be cleared out here. There is no sign of anything remotely resembling a professional basketball team still resides here. We at Fox were first on the scene to catch these stunning images.....
Outside we have spoken with some very confused residents of the area that have no idea what has happened here overnight. Some reports of large moving trucks being spotted overnight have come into the station. People here seem to be in a state of shock and awe. Some are losing their minds and quite possibly hallucinating.............
We have also seen a man protesting in the local sheriff's front yard......
The whereabouts of the Charlotte basketball team still seem to be unknown. Wait, what's that Gretchen??, we are now getting reports of some strange media gathering in the New Orleans area. We're gonna take it to Brick Tamland down in New Orleans to see what is going on. Take it away Brick.........
Thanks Clark, there seems to be something big happening here at the arena. Local business leaders and the Mayor are in attendance for a big meeting. Let's see if we can get some footage......
Ummmm, yeah, ummmm, ..............Back to you Evan.....
More to come.......

I'd expect nothing less from a "network" like Fox News to drum up and sensationalize a story like this. I mean, if I didn't know any better, they would be the focal media network as an arm of the government for cooking up reports to forward their agenda to slander the fine people of Charlotte and the state of North Carolina into think their favorite pro sports team would just suddenly get up and bolt during the middle of the night.
The team is still in Charlotte for the immediate future.

I shockingly have to agree with you Nick. Anytime I see the "Faux News" logo I immediately take everything I read after that as strictly satire. Funny story though.

Unfortunately for Charlotte, this is not a joke.

Until and if it actually happens, the team remains in Charlotte. Are you Brian Windhorse (sp?) or Chris Broussard? The team is committed to the city of Charlotte unless something were to drastically change that the league has yet to properly inform us that the team has secured a new stadium in a new city/state.
The Hornets are a valued member of the NBA community and has given the people of Charlotte a decade + of great moments and memories.

Clark Kent, Fox news:
In a new and stunning report, it appears another team may have bolted their city in the middle of the night as well. We are trying to gather leads on the situation but all we know at the moment is a new team logo has been leaked to all the new outlets. Judge for yourself.........
We at Fox news are following this story very closely and will be giving updates as they come in.

Looking at these numbers, attendance is terrible, no club seating. The team has only made $327,776 this season. No way the team can survive in Charlotte without a new arena.

More facts rolling in about Charlotte:
Name Charlotte
State NC
Market Size Small
Economy Terrible
Fan Loyalty Fair
This team won 58 games last season and have been a consistent playoff team. City is too small and the fans don't care.

There were sellouts the last few years when the team was in the playoffs. The team is still committed to the city although apparently there have been cities that have approached us and seduced us on the idea of building their city around the team... Whatever happens, happens but this team has consistently tried to put a brand of winning basketball on the court each and every night and will continue to do so.
I hear New Orleans is a passionate city with a great fan base that yearns to have a winning sports team. Who knows.

Wow I think the Hornets are only team that lost money, looks like the Lakers made the most with 130 Million, the only team to make over 100 mill.

Reports are coming in fast and furious that the Sonics ownership team has been in meeting with the leadership contingent of a place called Naboo. It appears the Sonics are interested in relocating closer to their Gungan fanbase.
Also breaking, New Orleans city leaders have rebuked reports that the Hornets are heading to that city. They claim to have struck a deal with the NBA to land one of the next expansion franchises. So it seems clear now, that despite numerous rumors and sources, the Hornets will not be moving to New Orleans. Perhaps somewhere close by? More to come........

In a stunning turn of events, the city of Chalmette has decided they were better off not hosting a Hornets team that brings in such dismal revenue. They have, effective immediately, banned the Hornets from city limits. The Hornets will return to Charlotte where the city doesn't seem to care either way if they are there are not. Funny how the citizens of Charlotte were up in arms when they left but did not support them when they were there. So the Hornets will remain in Charlotte, for now.........
