Greeple steps up to the podium wearing a tshirt with an airplane on it and Lakers workout pants.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! I hate things sometimes! I look forward to speaking with you all!
When garbageman seemed open to releasing Wanderlei Silva, my new best friend, body guard, and destroyer of worlds, I just said "thank you."
Thank you, garbageman. To Gary Loredo, do better. garbageman seems ready to take care of you, so you better treat him better than you treated me or you better believe that rookie option gets declined. Releasing Micheal Williams hurt a bit more, having been crucial to our success last year, but Wanderlei is the guy I've eyed for some time. The guy I want to take to dinner. Maybe a movie. Definitely ice cream!
For the next big move we unloaded almost everything else that made us great in JR Johnson, Wyatt Battle finishing his rookie contract, Ronald Jackson (come on, his contract is not HIS fault) and a pick. JR was the fire that brought excitement back to LA three years ago, but in his more veteran years he's earned some time to suntan with Mickey in his off days (Disney Land was just too far from Staples Center!). But we gained Ernie Acuna. Again, everything we wanted and needed for a strong backcourt. A brilliant shooter, scorer and passer, he can hussle back on defense and be effective there too. He'll pair well with Leiker, who also looks to have his best year yet.
Greeple hiccups and burps directly into the microphone. It reverberated from deep within his gut.
You know, am I not just repeating myself? Did anyone hear me lambast Mamba a few days ago? That was practically a preseason presser with extra sass. What didn't I talk about? What needs discussing?
Delmar. Lopez.
I'm so excited to see what you can do - but you're not doing it yet. Not that I'm disappointed, we're not contenders just yet, I mean
YES WE ARE
*coughs* I mean we still have some holes-
WE ARE A MASS OF AXES CHOPPING UP THE PBSL
ah...ah...AHH-CHOOO!!!!
God, what is happening? Anyway, he - Delmar - may or may not put up some numbers this year, but we're pleased with his progress overall. He can still barely do two laps in the pool before he pukes from exhaustion but we're working on it.
We picked up two championship players, still in their prime, ready to teach our young men like Lopez and Leiker what it's like at the top, and Sherrill may get a little taste of glory before Scot Bulter takes over, too. Lakers Lakers Lakers.
Now I think I made myself clear that happiness is my number one
Greeple leaves the podium, rips off his Lakers pants and straddles them, pulling them back and forth, screaming at the top of his lungs. He then windmills his pants above his head saying helicopters land at airports sometimes too, into the microphone, then runs in circles around the podium, picks up a chair and throws it across the room and returns to the podium.
Who has the first question?
