Grayson Allen is exactly what the MIP should be. He did not have any drastic increase in minutes, but his statistics and overall contributions skyrocketed. As opposed to the previous year, Allen played all 82 games. He proved that he was able to be out on the floor when the team needed him the most. He is clearly the number one guy on the team and continued to show leadership skills when veteran point guard World B. Free went down with injury. Let's look at some statistical comparisons.
2027 --> 2028
Minutes: 35.2 --> 35.3
PPG: 18.7 --> 23.6
RPG: 5.2 --> 7.2
FG%: .464 --> .516
3P%: .369 --> .416
If you dive a little deeper into stats, you can see Grayson Allen's impact to a team that went from 49 wins to 54 wins.
2027 --> 2028
TS%: .561 --> .605
PPS: 1.25 --> 1.34
PER: 15.4 --> 21.1
VA: 182.0 --> 460.2
EWA: 6.1 --> 15.3
All of this while his offensive efficiency went up and his defensive efficiency went down. There is no question that his improvements were drastic for his own statistics from last year to this year, but, more importantly, he has been the impact needed to see the Miami Heat win the Alpha Division 1 title.

Spurs Nominate Jeff Bower. Bower finally got his chance to show what he can do this season. He waited his turn behind the likes of Tua Tagovailoa, (James Gebhart and Jason Tatum who departed this season). He spent his whole career coming off the bench waiting patiently for his turn. He has by far improved his game via TC and on the court. Bower is the reason this team was only 3 games away from tying or even winning the division. this 51 win season would not happen without him. Bower went being no where near one of the top scores in the league to being the 2nd highest in SLOE as a starter. He knows what it takes to be a good player. He was the 13th pick of the 2021 draft with a O/G rating. He knows a thing or 2 about improvement. He's worked so hard to get to this point in his career. A point I never thought he would reach when we drafted him. We Knew he would be a contributor but not at a this elite level. Lets take a look at his numbers from last season and compare it to this season and you will see why he's the MIP

While his esteemed colleagues have valid arguments to win Most Improved Player, I'd like to submit, for your consideration, Patrick Edmunds as the most improved player on the Bulls.
His role hasn't changed...starting SG...and though the Bulls lost a prolific scorer in Andrew Wiggins, our starting lineup remains packed with Van Grimaldi and Alton Hill also getting plenty of touches.
Despite it all, Patrick Edmunds has finally evolved into the leadership role the Bulls envisioned for him upon trading for him.
His minutes have increased from 30.5 -> 33.2. The reason for that? He's fouling a lot less (3.2->2.8) and staying on the floor. He's increased his scoring from 15.6 -> 20.7 points per game, and that's because he's become a much more efficient player (16.2->21.0) who takes better shots and makes more of them (FG% .451 -> .507, 3P% .333 -> .387, TS% .543 -> .600, PPS 1.21 -> 1.32). He more than doubled his EWA (5.8 -> 13.5) in the regular season, but the most important wins yet are the ones he's been getting in the playoffs.
In a 7 game series against his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, Patrick led the Bulls in points per game (24.9) while also distributing the ball really well (6.3 APG). Add in a .587 field goal percentage including .483 from beyond the arc, and despite what all the previous stats say, he's the player who's embraced a new key player role most successfully, leading the Bulls deeper into the playoffs.
