Knicks Preseason Press Conference

It’s a new season of Knicks basketball. We have a tremendous roster of talent on the team. We traded for Thomas Knecht and think it’s a great acquisition for us. We have a core four of Richard Kowalczyk, Stephen Wright, James Barton, and Knecht. I feel we will exceed expectations this season and contend for the division crown. This is going to be a good season for us. Looking forward to a long playoff run this season.

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Your core 4 is apparent, but a starting lineup has 5 players. On your roster, who is best fit to be that 5th man?

Shaft Sucker, CBS Sports: The New York Knickerbockers are a historically renowned team. However, aside from your big 3—Kowalczyk, Knecht, and Barton—your team is about as depleted as my wallet. What are your expectations heading into the upcoming season? Should we expect to see many transactions (namely trades) being made to initiate a rebuild? Or are you going to attempt to build around them with talent worthy of this league?

Chet Youbetcha, Dimmadome News: does Tim Locklear few disrespected not being the highest paid Knick now? If so, do you plan on giving him an extension?
