So I gotta ask, Ramsay and Sansa. Rape or not?

I say no, she undressed herself and bent over for her wifely duty. Sure it was a bit rougher than she hoped for and Theon looking on was a bit creepy, but I say not rape.

So undressing yourself means you are consenting?

Wasn't she demanded to do all those things against her will?

Sounds like rape.

They didn't really give enough detail to know. The only thing you know is that it was not enjoyable for her.

I was really hoping Theon would snap out of the Reke crap and intervene.

Also, is Ramsay still your favorite character?!?! He's got to be on the Jeoffry level now.

I say no rape. She wasn't forced to do any of that. She chose to marry him. She knew it would not be enjoyable. She's doing it for vengeance. Can't scream rape on this one I don't think.

She chose to marry him? I must have missed that part...

Of course Ramsay is my favorite. What's not to like?

He hasn't made it to Joffrey levels yet tho.

And if you think Reek is gonna do anything you are watching a different show than me. That scene just reinforced the idea that he won't do shit against my boy.

Yes, before they got into Winterfell, Baeylish told her she didn't have to. It was her choice. She wanted revenge so here we are.

I asked the same question on Saints Report and there is an 8 page debate going on.

Really I'm just miffed because at least 1 website won't review the show anymore and members of congress are up in arms about the show just because of that 1 scene.

It never ceases to amaze me that Congress gets involved in that doesn't matter when our country has such glaring issues.

The part I really don't get is that was far from the worst scene on the show.

Things that happened to Theon, burning kids, slaves, Dany, all other stuff was just as bad if not worse. Where were they then?

How about the stabbing of a Fryeing pregnant woman?

Im thinking he gets to redeem himself by saving Sansa at some point. Then abruptly dying.
I want more Jamie and Bronn scenes especially know that shit is getting real down there

I would question anyone's stance that it was rape considering the setting and the fact that nothing was really shown.

After all, the source material is there and this was likely in the book. Let's start book burning now too. That would be neat.

Who's the site that won't review it anymore

The science fiction and fantasy site the Mary Sue declared “We Will No Longer Be Promoting HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ ” in a piece that seemed to fatally misunderstand the difference between doing journalism about and criticism of a show and acting as a publicity subcontractor for HBO.
And finally, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) took advantage of what appeared to be a cresting of sentiment to declare that she was finished, too, because “Gratuitous rape scene disgusting and unacceptable.”
- of course it's a liberal telling us what to watch.

Actually I think it showed that Reek could redeem himself soon. He'll tell Sansa he didn't murder his brothers, and the redemption plan will start. Then he'll die a horrific death

And then Littlefinger sold her out to Cersei... I don't believe anything that guy says is what he means or plans on doing. Sansa did not have a choice at that point. Maybe if she went with Brianne, we'd be in a different spot.
