Welcome to another beautiful season of Oklahoma City Thunder basketball everyone! I am glad you all could make it this morning, I hope you all had a great off season! Lets roll right into things, shall we?

2026 Season:
Ok, so everyone might not look at it the same way as me, but I thought last season was a huge success in what I am trying to build here. Going into the season I thought we had a good roster make up and some decent balance. We struggled a little bit with identity, but once we got that down it we performed a lot better. We were able to squeeze out a playoff spot in the defunct western conference instead of tanking and I am glad we did. It helped show how our team could do in a series. We even stole a game from Denver in the process. While some people would think we should have tanked or we should have won more games, I think we did exactly what I keep hoping for with this young team, develop and grow.

Offseason:

This off season was my most important one since joining the OKC Thunder. We had Pete's contract negotiations. I was very worried about this, I knew he would be coming back regardless because of RFA, but I was still nervous. Thankfully I have him back and all is right with the world. Josh Hart was also and RFA and while we were looking to keep him, we understood the financials it would take and ultimately traded him to the rockets for a good return. We also drafted a rookie in Ralph Kidd who I will hope help us not just this year but in the future as well. Other than that we were pretty quite in the off season, but still accomplished what we set out to do.

2027 Season

I look forward to this upcoming season. All of our players have developed more and I think this will be a year we finally make a jump from the cellars of the PBSL. I hope to received all leauge honors from both Ekbert and Pete this year and have great effort from our support players this year. We will roll out with a starting 5 of probably Pete, Clifton Carvalho, Anderson and Ekbert. With the new divisions and conferences it will be tough for me to predict where our team will end the year, but I do look forward to another post season and hopefully some great basketball along the way.

Are you concerned about the lack of rim protection on your team? Where do you think you'll find a long-term solution at point guard?

I trust in the two starters I have to do well. After that we are a little thin because Nick is not the best defensively. We will have to see how it goes and adjust accordingly.I think we have our long term solution of PG on our roster already in Pete, I hope he will be on All-League teams for the foreseeable future.

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Pistol Pete averaged almost a double-double in the offseason. Will he be exclusively playing PG this season or will you play him at other spots like you had in seasons prior?

He previously played other positions because he was not our best facilitator and he also can thrive anywhere between 1 and 3. I plan on keeping him at the 1, but nothing is concrete.
