Good Morning,

Today starts another season of Spurs basketball. After last season this team is itching to get back on the floor and try one last time to get to the finals and hopefully win it. Last season ended on a sour note getting swept by the eventual champs but this team has got one step closer each of the past two season. Last year WCF and year before 2nd round. We basically brought back the same group of guys to finish what we have started a few seasons ago. The guys responded during training camp and seem ready to get things rolling. I think aside from a few players, everyone had a positive training camp and are bonding in the locker room. I think the fans are excited about this season. I don't think they've felt this way since the days of Josh Smith and Russell Weakbrook. I am hoping we can make the city of San Antonio and fans proud of this team and bring home the title but we know it will take hard work and a little luck. I think these guys are up for the challenge.

If anyone has any Questions the floor is open and we will try and answer to the best of our ability.

GWR: This is about as deep a team as I've seen in San Antonio. How do you plan on splitting up the minutes?

The Nuggets have been your only obstacle the last two seasons. How do you feel about a potential matchup with them this season?

TBH I really don't know how to split the minutes. We all know that Dejean-Jones, Gebhart, and Desantis will be starters. From there we will have to see what will be best for this team maximizing it's potential. whether is Tua/Bower starting or being a super 6, Hyman/Hartley sharing minutes. Hartley made a name for himself during TC when he made the Jump from y/y to g/g. he was going to be a camp body going in but now he may get significant playing time. But We really won't know until we are deep into the season about who will be a lock for those other two spots in the lineup. I guess it's a good problem to have.

I feel that they are still the team to beat and don't want to see them LOL. They showed it again by whipping the snot out of us this preseason by 35. They also added Lecroix who's a great player. I just think they are just a bad match up for my team or maybe I need to do something different. We will try and figure what we need to do if we see them this postseason.

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: You mention that you're trying "one last time" to get into the finals with this team. If you don't bring home the hardware, who can we expect for sure to see still in a Spurs jersey next season?

Chet Youbetcha, Dimmadome News:

With Gebhart about to hit 30 years old, who do you see on your roster as the next premier player?

Dejean-Jones will be a lock to be in a spurs jersey Next season That's the only guarantee ATM but things could change between now and when the time comes to make the decision to keep going or just doing a soft retool with different players.

I see Bryce as that player along with Jeff Bower, Yeah a said it Bower as the second premier player. Bower has had a good camp the past few seasons and may get more minutes this season. He's earning his minutes. Trying to work a little on his conditioning and Defense tho.

How many more seasons do you expect James Gebhart to be able to play at an all-league level? And does that constitute your title window?

I think he has 2 or 3 more seasons of playing at this level but sometimes it's a good thing to move on sooner than later with a player. Not saying that's currently in our plans. There are a bunch of factors that play apart in a title window. Sometimes your team reaches it's peak and you have to move on but we will see how this season play out. Once it's over we will have some tough decisions to make.
