*The Nuggets (15-1) and Kings (13-1) are each going to win 90% of their games

Both teams are currently winning roughly 93% of their games. If they can keep up this current pace they would go 76-6 which I believe would be a SLOE record. Those early 2000 Hawks teams broke 70 wins but I think 72 was the most. They both are sporting over a 20 ppg scoring margin which is impressive, and they are both doing it with defense, as they are ranked 1 and 2 in terms of scoring defense.

*The Bobcats (1-16) and Clippers (1-16) are going to lose 90% of their games

Both teams have a winning percentage of .059 and are on pace to go 5-77. That's the bad news, the good news is they both own their pick this year so help should be on the way. This paragraph is essentially an inverse of the previous. Both teams are losing games on average by more than 20 points. The Bobcats have the worst scoring defense in the league and the Clippers have the worst scoring offense in the league. I don't have the exact research, but I am impressed by Blair Ottinger of the Clippers having red current and still scoring 2.5ppg.

*Anthony Davis will not get the scoring title for the first time in 9 years

As of this writing Andrew Wiggins is leading the league in scoring with 35.4 ppg and AD is putting up 34.3. This would be the first time in 9 seasons that AD doesn't lead the league in scoring as Durant beat him in out in 2014. This is AD's lowest ppg for a season since his 2nd year in the league, and has left open the door for Wiggins to claim the scoring title. Davis is also shooting the worst % from the field in his career and it's the first time under 50% (he's at .495). Wiggins on the other hand is scoring a career high and is at 8 points per game higher than last season and is shooting the highest percentage from 3 in his decade in the league.

*The Celtics after selling off some major pieces will still make the playoffs

Some of these are reaches and this one is no different. The Celtics are 1 game over .500 and currently in the 8th seed. They lost a few role players in Schroeder and Saric and sold a win-now piece in KAT for future assets. A big reason why Boston is probably still in the hunt is because they received back future hall of famer Kevin Love in that deal. Unfortunately for their playoff hopes, I doubt he stays around Beantown much longer past the Dec. 15th date that allows player acquired in the offseason to be traded.

*Long Anderson (19 and 5.5) will just edge out Clifford Paugh (19/2/2) for ROY

This one I actually feel confident in staying true. A few seasons ago I tracked the ROY race and it seemed like, barring injury, if rookies were getting minutes that their stats seemed to pretty much stay the same. Given that Anderson is a big his rebounding numbers should stay higher than Paugh's giving him the edge for the award since their scoring numbers are so similar.
