Welcome everybody. As we continue to progress in our rebuild, I want to talk a little bit about last season. We always set lofty goals each year. We didn't make the playoffs but we won enough games to gain some much needed points. Congrats to the New York Knicks for winning a championship.
When it was time for the draft, we saw 5 total prospects that interested us. We attempted to trade back into the top 5, but our trade offers were not accepted. We felt that we would do better trading out for points in this years draft. In RFA, we offered a few maxes. We got Devin Booker from the Bucks for a few key pieces. Once we solidified Booker, it was a no brainer to bring back World B. Free. In UFA, we put in for some players. We are happy bringing in Billie Billy. He has the current and potential to be a contributor off of the bench. We, also, got some former Heat players and are looking forward to them contributing this next season.
We plan to put out the following lineup:
C - Long Anderson
PF - Daniel West
SF - Aubrey Broomfield
SG - Devin Booker
PG - World B. Free
We are hopeful again this year with the development in training camp and new acquisitions to make the playoffs. If everything works out great, we might could even steal a series.
The floor is now open for any questions you may have.

GWR: You seem to have a team that is filled with players quicker than average at their position. Do you see this as a high pace team?

I do plan to run a higher place than years past, but I have never been towards the highest since the days of Gary Payton. I think this team will be in the top 10 this year in pace.

Your team looks like it has a lot of offensive firepower, but your defense appeared to be a problem in pre-season. Is that a matter of players not putting in regular season effort, or does that call for some gameplan--or even personnel--tweaking?

Devin Booker had a great preseason- are you expecting the same level of scoring in the regular season?

I attribute that mostly to game planning. We know that we are at a point in our team development where we need to outscore teams, but we have to be better on defense than we were in the preseason if we want to compete.

We hope that he can maintain this level of scoring. If he is able to do so, Free and Broomfield are able to focus on the less glorious parts of the game.

World B. Free has been waiting in the wings a la Jeffrey Duren. Any concerns he could high-tail it when he hits UFA like Duren did?

We have been clear with him on how this team was built with the future in mind. We fully believe that he wants to win here and will remain with the team for the foreseeable future.

How will the roster long term build around two very talented guards? Do you think it will be hard to balance out and try to find some bigs to match their talent?

Chet Youbetcha, Dimmadome News: With Devin Booker in the fold now, do you feel any pressure to make the playoffs this season?

Which GM in your division do you enjoy beating the most?

Currently we are actually not running through both of them. But long term, we plan on the ball to focus around them and we need to build defensive/rebounding bigs to complement them.

It is less the fact that Deven Booker is on the team, and more the fact that we don't have our first round pick this year. When a team trades away a first round pick, they are betting on themselves. So that alone is the reason for the pressure to make the playoffs.

We haven't done much winning against any GM recently much less in our division. Each win is one win closer to making the playoffs no matter who it is against.
