NEW RULE: NOMINATIONS NOW GIVE YOU THREE POINTS. YOU WILL RECEIVE ANOTHER THREE POINTS IF YOUR NOMINEE GETS INDUCTED

Welcome to the call for nominees to the People’s Basketball Sim League Hall of Fame. The rules are simple. Nominate a player you think deserves to be mentioned among the greatest players to play in this league. Championships, all-star appearances, funny picture blogs: all of these things could mean enough to warrant a nomination. There’s only one requirement: the player has to be retired from the PBSL. There is no time restriction on retirement – as soon as a player retires, they are eligible for the HOF.

-Nominees on the ballot with over 75% yes votes get into the HOF
-Nominees on the ballot with over 50% yes votes (but under 75%) are automatically considered for next year's ballot ("free" nomination that doesn't cost any owner a yearly nomination).

NOMINATIONS WILL BE OPEN UNTIL THE END OF THE PLAYOFFS. I WILL RELEASE THE POLLS IN THE OFFSEASON, WHERE YOU WILL HAVE TWO WEEKS TO VOTE.

There are no retirees from the past two years.

Here are notable free agents who retired last year:
Chris Bosh
LeBron James
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute
And from two years before:
Steven Hunter *automatically nominated for this season
Carlos Boozer
Al Jefferson
Joakim Noah
Arron Afflalo
Ron Artest *INDUCTED TO HOF*
Chris Kaman
Kevin Martin
Amare Stoudemire
Delonte West
And here are the other HOF nominees from the past few years who did not get in. Perhaps you want to nominate them again this year?
Antonio McDyess
Ray Allen
Keith Van Horn
Mike Miller
Dirk Nowitzki
Steven Hunter is automatically up for nomination due to receiving over 50% of the vote last season.

Let's admit it, a big part of this game early on was name recognition. The first pick of the sim draft was Michael Jordan. The ratings matter, and they usually reflected the big name, but for the most part GMs knew who the prize was in the next draft. In 2003, it was clear that the top prize was going to be LeBron James. We also know that there was several other real-life great players in that draft, but there was no doubt that James would be the best player in the draft.

And then Chris Bosh happened.

The 4th pick in the draft, Bosh used that as motivation and has proven without a doubt that he was the best player of that draft, and then went to prove he was the best player of his generation. It's more than just the numbers, but let's speak on those for a bit. Bosh ended his career 2nd in all time points with 37894. He's 8th all time in rebounds. He made 10 All Star Teams. 8 All League First Teams. He won three MVPs. He's top 10 in playoff points, averaging 27.6 points a game for his career.

But again, it's more than the numbers. On the third most winning franchise of all time, with stars for every generation, he shines brightest. He brought Minnesota to prominence in his prime, then came back twice to provide valuable leadership. He could always be counted on for a clutch bucket, even later in his career.

Bosh will always be known as the prize jewel of the 2003 draft. And despite never winning a ring, there should be no doubt that he is a Hall of Famer and one of the top players of all time.

Amare Stoudemire.

Man, what a stud. The 2nd overall pick in 2002, he played 16 years in the league and is known for being one of the most efficient scorers (if not THE most efficient scorer) the league has ever seen. He shot .586 for his career in the regular season, and .585 in the playoffs where he made 12 appearances, winning two rings. His first championship was in 2008 where he shot .660 while scoring 1.8pps which I don't think I've ever seen before.

He went to 6 all star games, winning one all-star MVP award. His unique athleticism allowed him to be a terror on the defensive end as well where he consistently ranked well in defensive efficiency finishing with a dEFF 8 points less than his oEFF. Not only that, but he was so coveted, he was the trade target of some of the best GMs in the league throughout his prime. And if you're a voter that cares about things like peak years, in 2013 with Denver he scored 30.3ppg in 35.0mpg on 65% shooting over a full season, one of 7 where he finished with a shooting percentage over 60%.

We've never seen a player like him before, and I don't know that we'll ever see a player like him again. And he definitely deserves a spot in our hall of fame.

It’s usually polite to give his most lengthy owner dibs on a nomination. So if @logpmess wants him, you should let him.

Thanks for looking out. I just don't have time to do that research right now. He can have the nomination.
