I'm gonna nominate Louie for GMOY. A lot of teams basically stood pat. The 76ers made a good trade for Kevin Love, but nobody wants to give the perennially winning commissioner points, and the Kings managed to secure Buddy Hield while still maintaining dominance over the shitty, shitty Pacific, but that's a move that'll pay off later.

Louie, however, has the Grizzlies atop the also shitty Southwest Division. He's done this in a division where the other GMs are all well experienced (except for Shaun), active, and making moves. Those GMs also have the advantage of not being buried under the tax. Louie was able to take the Grizzlies and ride to the top of the division without the ability to sign anyone for more than a vet min or retain any of his players.

Would like to nominate Xist as GMOY.

He took a 32-50 team last year, remade it totally, and now has a great chance to make the playoffs in a loaded Eastern Conference. In addition, he's under the cap, relatively young (8 players 25 or younger with at least green potential), and has plenty of his core locked up next year as well.

Not sure how he did it, but bravo!

I was torn on my nomination, but I have to go with Ryan (TheSyndicate) here. He of course made the big signing in Free Agency when he managed to convince Jeffrey Duren to take his talents to Denver, but he also picked up Thomas Robinson on a relatively bargain contract. He even found a bit of a diamond in the rough with the late signing of Arthur Parish (10.7 ppg on 57% shooting) to be his third big man.

Not content with what he poached in Free Agency, he made a move at the December 15th opening of trading season to shore up his backup guard spot with Isaiah Thomas, giving him a second potent scoring threat off the bench.

He's locked up the #1 seed in the West and is only half a game back of the #1 overall seed in the playoffs. Ryan showed the ability to identify and obtain big stars, quality role players, and niche role players, and to get them by both trade and by throwing wads of cash at them. Great job, Ryan!

I’m nominating myself because the Knicks have an active GM and are doing fantastic. 😎👍

I’m sorry, I can’t hear you from up here at the top of the rankings. You’ll have to speak up louder for those of us who are title contenders to hear you.

I nominate Nola. Despite losing a top 3 player he still has dominated his division while grabbing the 2 seed. The only team in the west to have a better record? Well, the team who grabbed his best player in UFA. He could have gone the route of tanking or benching his best players to get another top draft pick since they were RFAs; but he decided to play it out and win the division. To add to that, he introduced us to the sad clown picture, passed a couple of CPA exams, and stuck it out through one of the toughest off-seasons we've seen a GM endure.

I can’t seem to fix my answering machine. The message is stuck on repeat.
