I am Jason LaGrange and I am the new General Manager of the Los Angeles Clippers.
This past offseason i was lucky enough to have my choice between two different organizations and one of them was in Los Angeles. So like any civilized human I chose the city of Angles, Tinsel Town. LA-LA Land. This is not only a destination city. It is THE destination. Every year millions of people come to this town just to pretend then live here, if only a few days before they return to their sad lives in Whereversville, USA. This is the reason we will be successful. This is the reason the top players in the league will flock here. This is the reason the Los Angeles Clippers will not only be the #1 team in town but the only team anyone will care about.
Now I almost made the decision to not mention the other team we share this building with but i didn't want to be disrespectful, after all this is a game. With that said the time for that team (I do not plan on using their name as I do not expect to ever talk about them again) is over and gone. This organization plans to make this city one of Red & Blue. The time for The #HollywoodClipShow is now.
Let me state unequivocally moving forward this organization will be about one thing and one thing only winning. I heard all the whispers about how this team is one in a rebuilding mode. Ive seen the players under current contracts and the few we have are extremely young and ready to prove themselves this season. This organization is dedicated to those players and to the fans around the world to make big moves and put this team back into the upper echelon of this league, where it belongs.
I hope this brief release will give everyone an idea on my plans with this team, I know in our current state (pre-draft and FA) there isn't much to go on and once we are able to round out our roster our plans for the season will also come into light as far as strategy.
