Media Point Distributor

INCUMBENT: digiskunk
COMPENSATION: 5 POINTS
JOB DESCRIPTION:
-Award points for media sessions (based on standing criteria for point awarding)
-Award points timely (prior to pre-regular season training, prior to all-star break training, prior to end of the season)
-Track and award points for preseason pressers
-Track each GM's total media points against the yearly cap

In addition to throwing your name out there, you are encouraged to provide some words on why folks should vote for you. Nominations will be accepted until the DC submission deadline for the first two games of the CONFERENCE FINALS.

I would throw my name in for this. I would revamp the points per article rules a bit. I can flesh them out in exact details later but I would get rid of the limits for team centric or league centric articles. Some articles are worth more than 5 points and it's obvious they are worth more and that tons of time was put in. Or perhaps you write an awesome article about a player on your team but it's interesting, long, and well-developed...then you may get more than 5.

Yes it will be subjective, there's no other way it can be. But I will be fair, and you can always ask me before you write an article about an idea you have. We'll keep the 5 point baseline, but if this is my job I will use my own judgement a bit more and expand outside of the finite rules we've been using.

AND I will do my utmost to give the points WHEN you should get the points and not 3 weeks later.

Nah but seriously, when it comes to you guys' fancy articles with special charts and calculations I would probably always speak with the author before I give the points. Especially if there is behind the scenes work being done. Simply to make sure I understand what was done. I know sometimes a lot more work goes into articles than we see when we get the polished form in completion.

Please add that this person is responsible for preseason pressers, as well as tracking GM’s total points for the season garbageman. <3
