Anti-tanking point system

Similar to getting points for improving your record, I think teams that lose 20 more games than previous years should have to pay 10 points.
Thoughts.

Agree with your definitions. Selling off talent for future assets is totally a legit way to rebuild. Although I don't like the new point system as I feel it goes back to the old days of making the rich richer and kicking the rebuilding teams while they are down, I agree and definitely don't think teams that are rebuilding need to be shit on after they are kicked...lolWigNosy wrote:The new point system no longer awards points directly for improvement year to year. Instead we now have one which awards points for total wins each season and win streaks each season, kind of does this already. Sell off your tram, lose more games, and you get fewer wins and streak points because you lose more.
So feature already exists, no need to get more punitive.
Also, to me the line between "rebuild" and "tank" (to me) is that rebuilding is selling off talent on your roster for future assets... and tanking is deliberately not playing talent you DO have on your roster in hopes of improving your draft standing. Trading a good player for picks or youth or even cap space? Not tanking. Sitting a good player so your team deliberately performs below it's talent level and your draft stock improves? Tanking.
Kinda, but new system puts more emphasis on participation and media, which isn't bad.DarthVegito wrote:Agree with your definitions.
