Let's move onto the awards! 1st up...
Media Entry of the Year Award
This season, we only had 2 nominations, so naturally it was a close race. This year it was a battle of audio vs visual, podcast vs article. JNR and Garbageman both are looking to score their first MEOY award for this season's episode of their podcast series, Horns & Fangs. Quail and Balls brought it back old school with a throwback snake-style draft analysis article. Both pieces of media were excellent contributions to the league, and hopefully next year we can have more nominations for articles to compete, as competition can really bring out some great work! With that said... let's get to the results.
In 2nd place... with 120 points... Quail Balls on a draft!
In 1st place... with 136 points... Horns & Fangs!
Congrats to Raby & Josh! You may collect your 5 points! Next up...
Most Improved Player Award
We had four nominees for MIP this year. Timothy Pulley got his chance to start and shine with the Bucks after getting traded out of Eckbert Winkler's shadow in New Orleans. Dexter Aguilar continues to improve, despite the glut of guards surrounding him in San Antonio. Angelo Chancellor was a nobody last season, and is slightly less of a nobody now in Denver. Aaron Donald took this chance in Atlanta to make his mark on the league, making All-NBA 3rd Team as a center. The results are in...
In 4th place... with 26 points... Angelo Chancellor!
In 3rd place... with 66 points... Aaron Donald!
In 2nd place... with 94 points... Timothy Pulley!
In 1st place... with 102 points... Dexter Aguilar!
Congrats to Dexter and Eazy P! Eazy, you may collect 2 points! Next on the docket...
6th Man of the Year Award
For this award we had four nominations. Chicago Bulls 2rd guard Steph Curry really pulled his weight when he needed to step up and lead his team when injuries made things tough. Ronald Small was named the Computer-6MOY and is critical to the Bucks' bench success. Ted Adams was one of the least stinky turds on the Orlando Magic squad and can maybe be a bright spot going forward. Arthur Parish, in limited minutes, proved he could be an absolute wrecking ball on the block. The results are...
In 4th place... with 39 points... Arthur Parish!
In 3rd place... with 68 points... Ted Adams!
In 2nd place... with 78 points... Ronald Small!
In 1st place... with 104 points... Steph Curry!
Congrats to Steph Curry and garbageman! G-man, you may collect 2 points! Last but not least...
General Manager of the Year Award
The always heated and controversial General Manager of the Year award has 4 nominees... NOLa is doing NOLa things in Sacramento, kicking ass and taking names. IamQuailman rewrote the Bucks roadmap mid-season. The Syndicate won computer-GMOY for dumping KD and GIannis's contracts, getting out of the tax, and tanking his way into the lotto purty good. Digiskunk is chasing his repeat title of Western Conference Champion and rearranged his depth mid-season. Let's get to the results...
In 4th place... with 16 points... the syndicate!
In 3rd place... with 66 points... digiskunk!
In 2nd place... with 100 points... NOLa!
In 1st place... with 106 points... IamQuailman!
