Please consider Timothy Pulley as your top candidate for MIP:

PPG 7.3 -> 16.6
RPG 3.8 -> 7.8
APG 1.0 -> 2.1
SPG 0.1 -> 0.2
BPG 1.1 -> 2.9
FG% .509 -> .518
PER 17.7 -> 19.0

Not on my team, but I have to nominate Dexter Aguilar (Spurs) for consideration. His minutes per game barely increased (34.1 this year vs 33.3 last year) but his shooting improved from .457 to .481, his ppg jumped from 15.0 to 21.9 (while his other stats stayed mostly constant) and for those that like advanced metrics, he went from a 15.0 PER to a 20.6, a .588 TS% to .614, and improved from 1.36 to 1.45 PPS (ridiculous!) - chalk it up to being in a contract year, but them's MIP numbers to me.

Nominating Angelo Chancellor who made major strides in year 3
PTS 3.8>>10.2
REB 1.3>>3.4
AST 0.6>>1.4
FG% 41.5%>>44%

Went from a nobody to a totally rotational-able player.

I'd like to nominate Aaron Donald from the Atlanta Hawks. He took on a much expanded role this season and saw a big increase in his points and rebounds. Sure, he got more minutes, but he made 3rd team all NBA, which nobody would've predicted a year ago.
