#SLOE: People's Basketball Sim League

Are you experiencing the burning sensation that your team is chucking too many 3s? Do you feel that something is missing in your life that could be fixed by your team shooting more treys? Fear not, because in this Completely Scientific© study, I'm going to take a look at quick look at which teams could benefit by shooting more three pointers.
I took each team's FGM, FGA, 3PM, and 3PA from the team leaders page, deducted 3PM from FGM to come up with 2PM and deducted 3PA from FGA to come up with 2PA. Then I calculated each team's FG% for each type, multiplied the FG% by 3 or 2 to come up with an expected point value for each shot type. I subtracted the difference in expected values to come up with a difference, then divided the difference by the EV 2P to show the percentage improvement that could be seen by shooting more 3 pointers.

As you can clearly see, 70 percent of the league (21 teams) should be shooting more threes. It's Science©. You can't argue with that.

Thank you for posting "intellectually" interesting articles based on tons of data raped from files and spreadsheets. This is much more valuable behind emotionally driven drivel we see posted often. If i could give you more than 5 points i would, since it's more valuable, but because i can't please claim 5 points!

Yeah, I did a quick photoshop on the movie poster. Unless you meant the spreadsheet, in which case I just used Snipping Tool to grab the parts of the spreadsheet I wanted to show because I'm too lazy to put it all in a text/table format.

If I'm reading that correctly I already take the least amount of 3's in the league, and it looks like I should shooting be even less.
