Nominating myself for this. I feel like I overcame some offseason adversity and made key trades to improve the Knicks this year and in the future.

I'll nominate myself. Why, you ask? 21 years. That's how long it had been since the Pistons finished a season over .500. A-Dizzle was 3 years old the last time the Pistons won more games than they lost in a season.

Hello, pitiful human.

I am a robot with a powerful computer brain, and I, in solidarity and on behalf of all other computers, am here to nominate Garbageman as GMOY for the 2016-2017 PBSL season. He has already emerged as the winner of the award via our algorithm, which is optimized in every way. That should be enough sound reason to convince you to vote for Garbageman as GMOY, but you are a human, and you allow emotions to play a role in your decision-making processes. While that is silly to me, it is not my job to fix the bugs in your human programming. I am solely programmed to convince you to vote with us, the machines, and the best way to do so is to appeal to your emotions.

Thus, I will take on the form of your most beloved dramatic actor.

Hello, fellow human,

It is me, dramatic actor Leonardo DiCaprio. While you may be familiar with my memorable performances in movies such as Titanic, The Departed, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, and many others, today, I take on my most important role to date in convincing you to vote for Garbageman as GMOY. Now, you might say, "But didn't he win it like, two years ago?" Yes, he did. But should that preclude him from winning it again this year? No. And there's precedent for that. A presidential precedent:

Leo, again. Just didn't want you to think I was Grover Cleveland now. He did have a great mustache, though, right? Let me do you one better...

Anyway, facial hair aside, let's talk about basketball. At the beginning of the season, the Bulls were down to two players...Victor Oladipo and Zach LaVine. There was plenty of cap space left and plenty of room to mess that shit up royally. And what many (perhaps even the organization) thought would be a reset season, the Bulls were able to put together such a strong roster that their repeater status had to be damned.

They were able to get Thomas Robinson in RFA, Spencer Hawes and Goran Dragic in UFA, and Carmelo Anthony in a tax saving sign and trade deal for Danilo Gallinari. While Gallinari waas a valuable piece of the Bulls team and Carmelo is starting to age, Melo still had an enormous impact on the Bulls team, averaging 20 points per game on .519 shooting with a 21.2 PER and key performances in the playoffs so far.

While their monster starting lineup was only able to land them the 3rd best record in the Eastern Conference, they accomplished something unprecedented: the first Division Title for the Chicago Bulls in PBSL history. Keep in mind that they didn't have a cakewalk, either. The Central Division was an incredibly competitive division. All 5 teams made the playoffs.

In any sense, the Bulls were in bad shape in the seasons before Garbageman. He's been able to turn them around into a perennial winner in their 4th consecutive playoff appearance.

Doing from phone so I have to be quick...

Doug/Quail for GMOY. Dont @ me.

I blew up my team in the offseason, trading all league/all defense Rudy Gay for what looked like a blow up. Turns out we got a deeper squad with Hollis, Jamychal, Hield... and a lotto pick this coming draft. We started out the season with 2 losses, then rattled off an 18-game winning streak (22-4 start to the season). We continued to play at a high level until injuries to key players (Kanter and Irving specifically) derailed our push for 50+ win season.

We got ousted in the 1st round of the palyoffs, but this team is now operating TAX FREE. This was goal #1 of the season (entering the year as a potential 3year repeater). We maneuvered through trades to not only shed cap but to bring in cash considerations AND picks (2nd 2nds and 1 lotto 1st). We now have the opportunity to enter the draft/RFA with capspace to address depth and a more complete squad (most importantly) build to sustain the financial burden of 3 max contracts.

Also i have a nice beard/mustache tooImage

I would nominate myself, but I had a pretty piss-poor season considering my preseason aspirations... Lol.
