The New Year is here in sim leageue and it's 2017. Everyone has a New Year Resolution and so does every team. Let's see what they are.
New York Knicks - The Knicks are doing well and currently in first place with solid depth. One goal is to stay healthy, but their main goal should be to try to unload Demarre Carroll and listen their tax points.
Toronto Raptors - Off to a slow start. Defense has been average while offense has been below average. Their main goal should be finding a power forward.
Brooklyn Nets - Another team off to a slow start. Big problem is defense. They have two really good scorers, but what their goal should be is to find a legitimate defensive center.
Philadelphia 76ers - They made a trade and seemingly are on a short-term rebuild. It's time to trade Jeff Adrien, a nice center who can help a team make a playoff run.
Boston Celtics - After a 3-28 start, it's time to look towards next season. They have Ibaka, Faried, and Wall signed thru next season. Goal for this year is to figure out a plan. Keep this core and build around it or move on and trade everyone
Milwaukee Bucks - After a 24-5 start, the goal is to stay patient and run with this team. If anything, trade one of their young SGs for an elite PF, but that's about it.
Chicago Bulls - Another hot team. New Year's Resolution for them is to stay healthy and maybe acquire a backup wing.
Detroit Pistons - Not as hot as they were earlier in the season. Besides keeping AD healthy, New Year's Resolution for them is to acquire another elite player next to AD.
Indiana Pacers - This team is battling back after suffering a D-Will injury. New Year's Resolution for them is to acquire another scorer 20 point scorer.
Cleveland Cavaliers - After a slow start, New Year's Resolution is to trade CP3 and Illyasova and build around their rookie of the year candidate Dirk Hardpeck.
Atlanta Hawks - One of the top two teams in the league, New Year's Resolution to is to acquire more blue/blue backups.
Washington Wizards - After a 13-15, still in contention for playoff spot, but I think their New Year's Resolution should be to acquire pieces long-term by trading Wilson Chandler.
Miami Heat - This team appears to be going younger. New Year's Resolution should be to decide between Greg Monroe and Jo-Val and trade the other to acquire a PF or a young star PG
Orlando Magic - After trading Mozgov, their New Year's Resolution should be to move Tyreke Evans to a contender and continue their rebuild
Charlotte Bobcats - Team is the midst of a slow build so their New Year's Resolution should be keep their young stars healthy and hope for the best in the lottery. No need to rush anything.
Minnesota TWolves - After 20-8 start, things are starting to look good. New Year's Resolution is to stay with their starting 5 and just fill in more depth pieces.
Denver Nuggets - Team has talent and are strong rebounding, blocks, and steals, yet their defense is only above average because teams are shooting a high% against them. New Year's Resolution should be to shore up their FG% defense.
OKC Thunder - Team just acquire Mozgov to help them compete for a playoff spot. Team has a strong lineup and solid depth. New Year's Resolution is to figure things out with the game-planning and start winning.
Utah Jazz - Team has 3 really good players, but are going through the motions. New Year's Resolution is to stay sober, acquire another starter and starting winning.
Portland Trail Blazers - Team just traded Derrick Rose which was a hard, but probably necessary move. Now it's time to stay the course and start really re-build.
Golden State Warriors - Team is one of the best in the league. Can't do much wrong. New Year's Resolution is to stay healthy.
LA Clippers - Team is only 14-14, but has plenty of talent. New Year's Resolution is to tighten up their perimeter defense which starts with acquiring quicker guards
Phoenix Suns - Team is in similar shape as the Clippers. New Year's Resolution is to find any decent PG to defend and distribute.
LA Lakers - Team has suffered through some early injuries so their New Year's Resolution is to get healthy and start winning.
Sacramento Kings - Team just acquired Derrick Rose so that threw a wrench into their reset. At this point, team needs to find a SF and just go for the playoffs.
San Antonio Spurs - Team is in good shape and benefitted from a re-sim which saw their record improve and their two division rivals get worse so obviously their New Year's Resolution is to hope for more re-sims.
New Orleans Pelicans - Team made some big moves so now their New Year's Resolution is to hope improve their 3-pt shooting and interior defense and win the division.
Houston Rockets - Another team trying to catch the San Antonio Re-Sims. They need to desperately find some offense if they want to win the division.
Memphis Grizzlies - After ruining their team page by their recent trade, their New Year's Resolution is to stay healthy and start game-planning to come back in the playoff race.
Dallas Mavs - This team appears to be in a rebuild so their New Year's Resolution is to get some value for LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozen.
New York Knicks - The Knicks are doing well and currently in first place with solid depth. One goal is to stay healthy, but their main goal should be to try to unload Demarre Carroll and listen their tax points.
