WHERE AND HOW TO SUBMIT BIDS:

PUT YOUR BIDS IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER BY LAST NAME!

Bids should be submitted either via the FTP function from your individual node (see viewtopic.php?p=26682#p26682) or to The Negotiator via Private Message (click here to send a Private Message to The Negotiator). This Private message should have the subject "TEAM NAME- Free Agent Bids 2016, Round X" (substitute your team's name for the words "TEAM NAME" in quotes and replace "Round X" with "Round 1" or "Round 2" or "Round 3" as appropriate). Place all of your Free Agent bids in a single message, with one entry per line, formatted as follows:

Player Name; Initial Year's Salary; Yearly Raise Percentage; Total Number of Years; (if desired: Team Option/Player Option)

For example, the Hawks' Private Message should have:

RULES ON LEGAL BIDS:

Each team may submit up to ten (10) bids. Bids in excess of ten will be ignored.

The maximum salary that can be offered in the first year of a contract to a player is based on his years of experience or 105% of his salary last season, whichever is MORE. The minimum salary that can be offered is based on a player's years of service. You may check the baseline maximum (i.e., based on years of service, not based on 105% of last year's salary) and minimum (based on years of service) salary amounts using http://pbsl.ijbl.net/check.htm and entering his years of experience.

For players that finished the previous season on your team, regardless of Bird Rights status, you may offer up to 120% of his contract last season or the maximum you would be able to offer under the situations described below, whichever is MORE.

If a player ended last season on your team AND his player page says he has exactly 2 Bird Years, your team has "Early Bird Rights" with that player. Your offer may exceed the cap space you have available based on the rules for Early Bird Rights below.

If a player ended last season on your team AND his player page says he has at least 3 Bird Years, your team has "Bird Rights" with that player. Your offer may exceed the cap space you have available based on the rules for Bird Rights below.

For players to which your team holds Bird Rights:

• A starting salary of up to the maximum for a player with his years of service (or 120% of previous salary) regardless of cap your situation.
• Yearly raises of 0% to 12.5%, in increments of 0.5% (i.e., 0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5% etc.)
• Contract lengths of anywhere from 1 to 5 years (except for veteran minimum contracts, which may be for one year only).
• If desired, may designate the final year of a multi-year deal as "team option" or "player option" (if neither is selected, the default is "guaranteed")

For players to which your team holds Early Bird Rights:

• A starting salary up to 1/13 of the salary cap regardless of your cap situation. See the trade checker for the dollar amount of that salary: http://pbsl.ijbl.net/check.htm
• Yearly raises of 0% to 12.5%, in increments of 0.5% (i.e., 0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5% etc.)
• Contract lengths of anywhere from 1 to 4 years (except for veteran minimum contracts, which may be for one year only).
• If desired, may designate the final year of a multi-year deal as "team option" or "player option" (if neither is selected, the default is "guaranteed")

For players for which you do not have Bird Rights nor Early Bird Rights:

• A starting salary up to the current maximum for a player with his years of service (use http://pbsl.ijbl.net/check.htm to check this) OR the amount of salary cap space your team has available (use http://pbsl.ijbl.net/capreport.htm to check this), whichever is LESS. If your team has no cap space remaining, you are still permitted to offer contracts for the "minimum" (varies based on a player's years of experience). Minimum contracts may only be for one season.
• Yearly raises of 0% to 10.0% in increments of 0.5% (i.e., 0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5% etc.)
• Contract lengths of anywhere from 1 to 4 years (except veteran minimum contracts, which are 1 year only).
• If desired, may designate the final year of a multi-year deal as "team option" or "player option" (if neither is selected, the default is "guaranteed")

If a PM with bids were inputted, what happens if you made changes via the node (I haven't yet). I'm just wondering if you can change bids via the node even if a PM was entered.

Usually bids entered by node are imported after all PM'd bids are entered. So the FTP import takes precedence.

For those who missed it on the Skype call, Geoff's PM asked for a bid on *Zach* Randolph, not *Anthony* Randolph - he caught the error it as we were announcing signings... when a re-sim was offered, he turned it down.
