Playoff Seedings

There are a few options that are good, but the one now sucks. Right now, the two division winners get the top two seeds in the conference. Problem is in 5 out of the last 6 seasons, one of the divisions has held the top 2 records in their own conference. I'm not sure what the game allows, but here are a few suggestions:
A) Leave it as is.
B) Let the division winner get a top 4 seed, but not necessarily home court advantage (like in real NBA playoffs).
C) Ignore division winners all together and let the records decide the 8 seeds.
D) Ignore conferences and let the best 16 teams into the playoffs by record.
I love division and conference rivalries; they're part of what makes this game so much fun (PACIFIC REPRESENT). But, id be all for making sure the best teams get a fair shot in the playoffs.
