Wesley Matthews doesn't have the huge jump in PPG, RPG, or APG, but he just completed his best year of his career, and it wasn't even close. He took less shots, scored more points, and made every shot at a higher percentage (FG, FT, INS, JS, and 3P). Matthews has been a good player for years, but this year I think he took a step forward. Vote for him for MIP.

I'd like to nominate Lebron James. He has played more positions this season than any other season in his career. He did not have a boost in training camp, but still managed to improve in multiple categories. He took over both leadership and main scoring load this season. Here are his numbers:

MPG: 36.5 --> 39.2
PPG: 20.4 --> 30.0
AST: 5.9 --> 6.6
A/T: 2.01 --> 1.69
FG%: .535 --> .549
PER: 24.5 --> 29.2
EWA: 20.6 --> 29.9

He was also 1st team NBA at the guard spot. Last year he wasn't on any of the all nba teams. In a team in flux all season, he was a staple and played all 82 games. Leading his team to a franchise first division win.
