2014-2015 #SLOE Pick' Em Sim 11
Posted: Tue Jun 06, 2017 12:34 am
Welcome to another exciting edition of Pick 'Em. We've only got a couple left, so it's time to make them count. I don't know what date sim 11 is supposed to end yet, but it doesn't matter, because we're starting on April 1st, so that means it's time for April Fools! Here are the rules.
Pick the 10 games that you think will have the widest margins at any point in Sim 11. Then, once the sim is run, I'll add up the actual margins for the 10 games you picked--doesn't matter who wins the game. Most points wins.
HERE'S THE TWIST THOUGH: You can't pick the same team in more than one game. If you do, you won't get points for either game.
It's pretty simple, but see my official entry below if you need an example.
As always, EVERYONE can play every week. The best score from your division will be ranked against the best score from the rest of the divisions, so participation can only help your division's cause. And remember, you'll get points at the end of the season for having good attendance. Here's how the participation points break down.
Participate in 11+ Pick 'Ems: 5 points
Participate in 10 Pick 'Ems: 4 points
Participate in 9 Pick 'Ems: 3 points
Participate in 8 Pick 'Ems: 2 points
Participate in 7 Pick 'Ems: 1 point
Participate in 6 or fewer Pick 'Ems: No soup for you
Furthermore, if your division has the most cash at the end of Pick 'Em, you get 5 points...UNLESS YOU DON'T PARTICIPATE IN ANY PICK 'EMS. Here's the standings after week 9.
4th Place: Midwest - $2050
3rd Place: Pacific - $2550
2nd Place: Atlantic - $5100
1st Place: Central - $7100
For this sim, the prize structure will be:
1st Place: $1400
2nd Place: $900
3rd Place: $400
4th Place: Even if your division doesn't win any money this sim, Season 3 of Bloodline is still just as good as if you had.
If your division is behind, don't lose hope yet. I've got something special planned for Sim 12, so theoretically, every division still has a chance, some just will have a better chance than others.
For an example of best practices in formatting, here is my official entry:
1. Timberwolves @ Suns (4/1/2015)
2. Celtics @ Hawks (4/2/2015)
3. Knicks @ Nuggets (4/2/2015)
4. 76ers @ Bucks (4/4/2015)
5. Nets @ Pacers (4/7/2015)
