Sources close to me say "I'm back."
My sources are telling me that the Jazz do not plan on accepting Marbury's rights in RFA because Marbury expressed a strong desire to play elsewhere. In an odd turn of events, Jazz will offer a full max in UFA and leave the choice to Stephon. "We hope he does what is right" said GM cprej.

My sources tell me Jazz feel good about resigning Starbury even on an even playing field.IamQuailman wrote:Full max = 10%, 4yrsChris Broussard wrote:My sources are telling me that the Jazz do not plan on accepting Marbury's rights in RFA because Marbury expressed a strong desire to play elsewhere. Ben Wallace is a hot topic amongst GM circles. It's all but confirmed that Memphis is offering a max, but the real questions are, who WON'T offer this stalwart a max?
Marcus Camby's phone has been oddly quiet tonight. Coming out of college everyone knew he could blossom into a great defensive player, but Camby has been very effective on both ends. Some scouts think if he was a second option he could get near 20 a game on 50% shooting which would easily justify a max. Sacramento, though loves this guy, and most would be shocked if he doesn't get the 5 year supermax.
Asked about if he would accept less than a max this year, Kobe's reply
Shandon Anderson and his value are two puzzling pieces this offseason. Will someone step up and give this unproven player big $$$ on his potential?
Several teams have reportedly given a max deal to RFA Marcus Camby, but Kings GM told me personally he has given the 5 year super max to Camby. "Game over"
Early big spenders are the Rockets, as they have sent in 10 bids, reportedly 6 of those maxes, and the other 4 "high multi-year" deals. Houston is looking to make a splash with their first offseason without Shaquille.
Sources tell me that the Blazers have the most intriguing submitted bids so far. One player, I am told, they "will land 100% with no chance of the team matching.:
Is Steve Nash a max deserving player? That is up for debate, but what isn't up for debate is he will be paid like one.
What is Sharif Abdur-Rahim? A 3? A 4? Black? Arab ? Wrong. A max player and he'll be paid as such.
Jerome Williams brings an intriguing skill set to any team. Its A shame he isnt getting bidded on as such.
Othella Harington not getting much love, has been left completely out of most teams bids.
#1 pick out of this class Kobe Bryant has had a very quiet day so far. Im being told he has had less than 5 bids in.
Wow, Tony Delk's latest bid. Guess he is staying East.
One surefire max RFA felt very disrespected that his current team didn't offer a max deal. Expected to sign and offer from another team to show his disdain.
I hesitate to announce this, but if I don't someone else did. Massive leak from the Camby/Kings camp. Confirmation of Kings 5 year max offer for Marcus Camby. Somehow someone got ahold of the letter or fax sent to Camby. Here it is:
Hearing that after the Suns shopped him at the deadline last season, Iverson prefers a player option at the end of his contract so he can exit early if the Suns decide to match.
Contrary to previous reports from Chris Broussard, the documents leaked were indeed fake and erroneous. Looking at the scanned "fax", one may notice a grammar check and spelling check squiggly lines. How would these be present on a printed fax? Our sources dug deeper to discover that this image was actually swiped off of an internet message board called 4chan from an overzealous Kings fan using the forum ID "NOLa.". It is clearly apparent that Chris Broussard is just resorting to click-bait tactics found almost exclusively among ubiquitous amateur bloggers. Reaching out to the Kings organization, they commented that they have met with Marcus Camby, but have yet to draft up any documents or get any signatures until just prior to the deadline. One rep was quoted, "Here in Sacramento, we don't operate in 1 hour intervals; check back later". Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
