Lakers Pre-Season Presser

Not a lot going on here besides spectacular growth by our three best players. Obviously, Bogut continues to be the best thing going on here in LA, but Allen and Robinson have certainly proven that time hasn't stunted their development. We don't expect much from this season since we are still relegated to tax hell for the fifth straight year. It would be nice to get under the Salary Cap before the All-Star break, but we don't have a lot of options there. Let's just wait and see.
As for an official statement regarding our players availability on the trade market, we would like to make it known that we intend to super max Bogut when he becomes a free agent and we have no intention of moving him for ANY package. Robinson and Allen are much more attainable, but we'd like to keep Allen around for his next contract. We can be swayed here.
We look forward to your questions and the season ahead of us.

You have 8 players on your active roster. Any plans to pull in some more free agents with the season almost here?

Derrick Favors looks like he is going to have a key role on your team this year. What do you expect from this young professional?

Do you feel the need to remind Tony Allen he there as a defensive stopper, not a primary offensive option?

Not unless I can get rid of a few smaller contracts. I'll add as needed, but as of now, I am trying to stay as close to the Salary Cap as I can.
Moving Speights and/or McGuire will allow me to replace that money with some rookie free agents.

I'd like to see him grow over the next few seasons allowing me to further cement him as our PF of the future. We'll see though.

Yes, in the past we...errrr....the computer has likely gone to him as an option. We are starting the season looking for the team to feed the ball to Bogut. Maybe leaving him off the key players list will help him focus on defense.
We are sure he'll still get his flippy shit in.
