My candidate: Brandon Jennings

Took a leap from his rookie season to his sophomore season. He wasn't the most efficient, but he was forced to be the lead dog on a bad team. And has really hit his stride towards the end of the season.

MPG: 7.7 -> 33.3
PPG: 3.4 -> 18.8
APG: 0.6 -> 3.0
SPG: 0.4 -> 1.0
PER: 14.2 -> 15.3

VOTE B-JENNINGS! #HumbleBeJennings

I'd like to nominate Amare Stoudemire for the Amare Stoudemire Most Improved player award.

Amare took on to his superior coaching from TC when he improved vastly after many down seasons with other teams. From there, he put it all out on the court. Despite being on a more talented team than he'd ever been on before in his career, Amare kept his numbers steady and improved on his efficiency. Amare posted a league leading 64% shooting which includes an outlandish 75.5% on the inside. Amare took the reigns as the teams leading scorer and did it efficiently. Amare also improved his PER by nearly 3 whole points when he was already an All star ie not much room for improvement (he found it). Sure, there were options to play him off the bench, but Amare refused. he wanted to defend his award. Vote Amare !
