Balls O’hard : Finally, the 76ers have come back to the playoff picture! Good morning all thank you for joining us. We are excited. Last year was a bit of a roller coaster season. We made a blockbuster trade for Titan Chandler and were really excited to end our non-playoff streak. Unfortunately, we hit hard times once Titan was injured and failed to make the playoffs. Not all was doom and gloom though. Titan proved he could be a franchise cornerstone by Posting 20/11/3/3.5 and improved his PER by a whopping 7 points.

Balls O’hard : We found out that Taj Gibson is a very capable defender at the 4 position. DeMarre Carroll showed he can be a solid starter in this league as a 3 point shooter rebounder and defender. He also won the rookie game MVP and made first team all-rookie honors. Luc Richard showed he was a hard working backup trying to make this league and has improved greatly since his first day in a 76er uniform showing he can guard anyone on the court. He should see a lot more time this year.

Balls O’hard : With the end of last season came a new season. A season of transition and change. Out went Monta Ellis and Nate Robinson and in came Dwayne Wade Mike Conley and Amare Stoudemire. We made these moves for a couple of reasons. For one, we wanted to put some surrounding talent next to Titan.

Balls O’hard : With D Wade, we get a 2 way player that can also distribute the ball. Wade, like Titan, brings championship experience and was a Finals MVP. He’s a true star in this league. Conley brings another guy who can make the right play by passing, he can defend his position well, and he can open up our offense and shoot the 3. We’re excited to have him as one half of our backcourt. Amare is another guy we’re excited to have. Amare is a guy who can defend his position adequately and is an offensive superstar. Last season with Titan, we were one of the top defensive squads on the entire league, but at times failed to score the basketball efficiently. Adding Amare and Wade, we think, will cure that without giving up anything on defense.

Balls O’hard : We also drafted Larry Sanders, who we think can hold down the backup 5 position able to grab rebounds and defend. Training camp wrapped up yesterday, and we are excited to announce that we saw major improvements from everyone and we are ready to announce our starting lineup for game 1 will be as follows:

C: Titan Chandler Image
PF: Amare Stoudemire Image
SF: Demarre Carroll Image
SG: D Wade Image
PG: Mike Conley Image
Balls O’hard : I’ll now allow time for some questions!

What's the secret to a successful Amarr training camp? Many GMs were afraid of paying up a max to Amare, let alone a supermax, due to previous unsuccessful trainibg camps that were countered with insurance and trainings.

GWR: Let's stay on training camp for a minute. DeMarre looks like he'll be a very successful two way player. How important is he to this franchise?

Balls O'Hard: That was a pretty major concern of ours as well before committing to him. When we got permission from the Lakers to talk with Amare, we flat out asked him why he seemed to hate Training Camp so much. He told us the teams always forced him to try and do what they wanted him to do. He wanted to expand his game and improve his jumper. He didn't want to rebound all day and play that stereotypical big man all summer. So we signed him and listened. We will see if it pays dividends come the regular season, but he's happy coming out of camp.

Is Mike Conley ready to be the starting PG for a Championship level team? In a conference with the likes of Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Goran Dragic, Jameer Nelson, Baron Davis, and rookie phenom John Wall, how do you expect him to hold up?

Balls O'Hard: Guys like Demarre are massively important to any team with championship expectations. Not everyone can lead the team in the box score. You have to have glue guys that do the dirty work. Guys that make up for areas where you otherwise have holes in. Demarre is a 3 who opens up the court for us with the long ball. He also can rebound well for his position and he can perform well on defense on the outside.

Sports Guy Bill Simmons here, with only 9 players under contract, do you plan on acquiring a little more depth via trade or bringing in guys off the street? Or are you content with being about $6M over the cap and where you are at luxury tax wise?

How does it feel for your team to have a decent training camp?

We actually added a handful of players today to the team. We will see how they workout and do sort of a cost benefit if it's worth keeping them around versus the tax.

Feels good man. Keeps the excitement going for the season instead of rationalization mode. It's nice to go into a season feeling confident. We also know there's the next hurdle of the injury bug we have to avoid ..

Any chance of getting Luc Richard Mbah A Moute to legally change his name so he stops breaking your team pages?
